Does anybody watch "Burn Notice?"

I watched the pilot episode to dismiss it but I've liked all episodes so far. It's a throw back to the PI series of the 70s and 80s like "Rockford Files" with a dash of "McGyver" thrown in. Good show so far. And well written.

keg in kc 07-16-2007 07:40 PM

Yeah. Don't like some of the jump cuts, but otherwise a solid show.

Mecca 07-16-2007 07:44 PM

Hrm it's on after Raw but I usually turn it before it comes on.

Buehler445 07-16-2007 07:50 PM

There is a thread about it somewhere. Some pretty good stuff in it.

Logical 07-16-2007 09:13 PM

I watch it with one of my daughters. Sort of silly but yet entertaining.

dj56dt58 07-16-2007 09:40 PM

Just started watching it last week..pretty good show. USA has some pretty decent shows going for them. Monk is good and Psych is ok..House is one of my favorite shows but thats owned by fox and just re aired on usa

morphius 07-16-2007 09:55 PM

it is better then I expected it to be.

Reaper16 07-16-2007 10:18 PM

I enjoy the show a lot.

I never expected this to be a repost, of all threads.

Season starts July 10th for those interested.

they take a long time between seasons..even w/o the writers strike, season 2 wasn't set to start until summer. Wasn't the finale in like November/December?

Adept Havelock 06-16-2008 04:07 PM

I may have to start with Tricia Helfer joining the cast.

Gabrielle was draw enough, those legs.

It's actually climbed to among my faves out there [up there with Lost, Big Love, House, etc], let alone just on basic cable. It and The Closer.

Yep, my fav shows atm are
Lost
Burn Notice
Entourage
Californication.

Can be in any order, they are all great imo.

keg in kc 06-17-2008 08:40 PM

Not bad for a summer series. I usually catch it.

I tried their new series and couldn't even make it 10 minutes into the pilot. Supposedly it starts to get a lot better 4 or 5 eps in, so I might check it out again. Not much on the tube at the moment...

First 2 episodes were classic from season 1. I thought they were going to take it into a different direction but they didnt. Its not a bad thing, because i like the new age McGyver type show like this.

Anyways, the new forced handler chick is pretty smokin. Cant wait to see him find out who she actually is.

Lzen 07-21-2008 08:58 AM

I like the show. I didn't realize that his new "handler" was the same actress that plays Six on BSG until BL's post. Did I ever mention that you guys are big time nerds? :p She seems good at playing characters that you love to hate.

Calling people nerds but your the one that knew she was an actress on one of the nerdiest tv shows? Irony is awesome.

Heh. I was just kidding. But in my defense, I had to learn the names of a lot of the actors because in the BSG thread, everyone kept referring to their real names. ;)

My ex-girlfriend is an extra in episodes 7-9-11 of the new season.

Seriously.

what does she get paid?

I've never been more grateful for USA's constant replays of their shows than when I was stuck in a hotel room with no laptop this weekend.

Burn Notice is a lot of fun.

Yep, he's the new age McGyver. Cept he has a little spy twist in him. I love this show.

Completed the first season last night, as well as the first episode of the new season.

Helfer! Looks better than she did on BSG. Love the long hair.... maybe she has a tattoo...

I used to watch a show a few years back called 'Touching Evil' starring Jeffery Donovan- thought it was pretty intense, dark, but had enough humor in it to keep it moving. Bummed when it got cancelled.

Good to see Burn Notice survived the cut.

kcxiv 01-23-2009 03:47 PM

May have been one of the best episodes yet. The who talks first thing they did was freaking awesome. haha

Think there is 16 episodes in season 2. So there are 6 left i think

Frankie 01-26-2009 09:41 AM

Season 2 was short due to the writers strike and ended with the cliffhanger of him getting bomb-attacked. This was the 1st episode of season 3.

Damn this show is great. They need more Seymour in the show. His character is pretty freaking awesome in this show. haha

HolyHandgernade 02-08-2009 04:38 PM

This show is nothing but an opportunity to cast a bunch of models as "extras" walking around Miami. If I wasn't so shallow, I'd stop watching it for that very reason. So here's to no depth!

I've been watching since its inception. Witty, entertaining, eye candy, absolutely love it.

My ex-girlfried is an extra in about 4 episodes of the 2nd season. I got addicted to the show while trying to spot her in it. I really like it. BTW she was standing by Bruce Campbell one time, and she is a huge Army of Darkness fan. He was talking, and she said "listen up you primates" He did not think it was funny AT ALL. LOL.

I'm freaking addicted to the shit. Wife and I just re-watched season 1 and got finished yesterday. We're looking forward to season 2.

Unfortunately, we missed season 2. Accordingly I didn't watch the first episode of season 3 so as to not ruin it. I did watch last week's episode (I couldn't hold out).

Hopefully I can find the first episode of season 3 online after we watch season 2.

Shit's like crack. I can't get enough!

Really? I didn't get that at all. The only thing that was sorta grating was her irish accent and that only lasted one episode. I think she brings very nice balance to the show and some of her lines/shit she does to Weston is hilarious.

If she was grating at all, it was made up for by the fact that she is ungodly hot and you can see her nipples pooking through roughly 40% of the time. :D.

The only character that gets on my nerve's is Mike's mom. She's annoying as hell, but everyone else on there rocks.

I liked it. I'm surprised how they keep coming up with new ideas. There's only so much he can do.

I also like how they work into the series how some shit he tries doesn't work. Makes it much MUCH more interesting (I almost used believable, but ... no).
