A Brazilian drug smuggler was crushed to death by 1,100 pounds of his own pot after he lost control of his car during a police chase and hit a tree.

The man, who has not been identified, was driving from the state of Mato Grosso do Sul to Sao Paulo with the enormous illegal cargo on his backseat.

Federal Highway Police at a roadblock asked him to pull over, but he refused to stop and led them on a 3-mile high-speed pursuit.

It ended when he lost control, hit a tree and the weed shot forward to squash him against the wheel, killing him immediately.

Both his car and the drugs were confiscated by cops and taken to the nearby Bataguassu police station, reports Da Hora Bataguassu.

Drugs don't kill, getting the munchies and trying to eat your steering wheel, kills.
