How in the world did Oakland and Denver get a Monday night game? Makes absolutely no sense to me.

Al Davis threatened to go to Goodell's office, remove his adult diaper and shit all over the carpet if he didn't get his way.

Maybe we will get the first 0 to 0 overtime tie monday night game.

Bowlen has been trying for 5 or 6 years to open the season at home but the US Open is always on CBS when the Broncos would play. The only way Denver could get a home opener is to get on MNF, and the league finally gave in.

The Raiders have gotten a Monday night game in 2 of the last 3 seasons, haven't they?

Should be a good game for the Buccaneers today.

Misplaced_Chiefs_Fan 09-11-2011 08:43 AM

They've promised that there'll be a West Coast Monday night game on the first Monday of the season. Too many in the LA/SF/Seattle area complaining about the game starting too early for them to get home to watch it.

Why Oakland instead of one of the other teams? Well, given the state of the 49'ers and the Seahawks and considering SD played in last year's game, there really isn't much option there.

That's going to be an overlooked game today. I am looking forward to seeing if Tampa can continue to improve (and you gotta root for a local kid making waves in the NFL), and to see if Dee-twaah is going to live up to the preseason hype...

Somehow I have a feeling the Pitt/Balt game may come down to the last man standing.

There's some serious bad blood between those teams.

Reminds me of the old Oak/KC games.

Giants at Redskins

Wow...here comes the 100 yd flag being unfurled, covering entire field in stars & stripes! an amazing sight

Vikings take opening kickoff back against the Chargers. Special teams still broken, situation normal.

jd1020 09-11-2011 02:24 PM

Vikings kickoff return for TD. SD's ST continues to impress.

BigMeatballDave 09-11-2011 02:24 PM

LMAO @ the Chargers giving up an opening KO return
