As to the rest, I suppose that your definition as to what is an American differs with mine.

The following picture of it with kids in it didn't tell you something? Lol

Dick! nlm

The first car I drove regularly (parents' beater) was a '73 Vega. Took me six months to destroy it.

The first car I personally owned was a '77 Monza. That one lasted a bit longer, although it picked a rather inauspicious time to die - exactly midway between Norfolk and Missouri, when I was an e-nothing in the Navy and didn't have a pot to piss in. Ended up selling it to a local mechanic for $100 and a ride to the bus station. :D

Your car will drive so much better. Pm for details if you want. I fix them quite often for hot rod guys with this complaint, you just can't go by the original specs but it will drive like a dream and not wear the tires either

PM sent. It's the last thing on this car that bugs me and I've been looking for solutions for 4+ years.

Couple sent back. Sorry if they were long winded lol.

You are thing to have to basically tell someone what you want but caster isn't a wear angle so it really doesn't matter as long as they get the camber and toe set to factory specs and set caster to somewhere along the lines I laid out you will be fine.

Hope it cures your issues

My recollection is that they couldn't get the camber all the way to factory. They've shoved as many shims in there as they can and they got it close, but the camber has never been quite perfect.

DJ, If I were you I'd wait for Exoter to confirm that this is a good idea.

BigMeatballDave 07-03-2013 02:57 PM

I'd blow a million at this auction, easily.

Isn't that the guy that loads his shop with those freeloadin' Mexicans? I wouldn't even trust him to change a side mirror...

Then your caster can't be right.

It would be almost impossible.

I'm almost positive that's what is wrong with your car. Like 99.99, sure.

Take it somewhere else. Hell when they get it on the machine call me and we can talk numbers and you can tell the guy where you want it.

Or take a little ride down here and we will fix it our at least figure out what went wrong. In a car like that camber should be easy. Like real easy. Then its just moving shims from one side to the other to get caster, but if that's not possible due to the amount of shims

You will never get caster close.

Offset control arm shafts could be in your future.

Something can't be "right" in that suspension though to have those issues.
