****ing sucks for the kid. Sounds like it’s the easiest to cure.

and yet cassel lives

Terrible news. While there’s no good time for a diagnosis like that at least he signed his contract and got on NFL medical plans before. I’m guessing that will be a real help as he fights the good fight

Prayers sent.

**** cancer.

Berry beat it. Hopefully he can too.

RunKC 07-24-2022 12:03 PM

That really sucks but the good news for him is MD Anderson is the best cancer treatment center in the country and it’s literally a mile down the street from the Texans Stadium

So it's good leukemia

Tragic. I wanted him in the draft, I thought he could be a steal.

Dante84 07-24-2022 01:02 PM

So glad for him that it happened post-draft

I remember late 70's a prominent family in the town I grew up in had a son who got leukemia. He had to go through tons of transfusions and I think chemo. He survived and only sign was he went from straight hair to an afro after his hair grew back in.

Only person I have ever known to get leukemia.

If his white count is <10k, his survival odds will be extremely high, but part of his likely regimen is cardiotoxic.

Just one of many bad WRs drafted before Skyy…..

Leukemia is extemely unlikely to be diagnosed at under 10k. I’m not sure maybe you meant 100k

It’s highly unlikely that they’d even order a peripheral blood smear at a wbc under 10k
