What is your favorite coffee?

I'm a coffee-aholic. I only drink 100% Colombian without any sugar or cream.

How do you make/order coffee?

BlackHelicopters 02-23-2013 04:59 PM

Straight black, like my women.

gblowfish 02-23-2013 05:00 PM

Folgers or Maxwell House.

Black, strong, bold, and makes me have to poop. That's how I like my women.

LMAO Stewie is creating himself some threads today! Dunkin. Shockingly good the first time I had it. Tully's is the best coffee I've ever had, but hardly anyone has ever heard of it. Dunkin I can get anywhere, anytime, and I love it! French Vanilla, bitches!

Wow I've never heard of anyone who agrees with me on that.

When I went to Seattle, I always had a cup from Tully's in my hand. Best coffee ever.

KurtCobain 02-23-2013 05:06 PM

I drink this coffee that always reminds me of when my wife Chiefs and it smells like those Taco Bell 99 cent stuffed potato grillers.

At work/at home: Folgers with cream and sugar.
On the road: Scooters Caramelicious with an extra shot of espresso or McDonald's Caramel Frappe'.

Locally in KC, the Roasterie makes good stuff:
http://www.theroasterie.com/

I usually only make coffee at home on the weekend. Folgers is usually OK for my basic morning joe. I've always had it black, hot and strong. Cause I'm a man.

I do like a lemon in my Boulevard Wheat, so I do have a softer side....

My favorite is Starbucks Italian roast with cream, and no sugar. I cannot stand Dunkin donuts coffee though. It has this weird taste that I can't quite figure out.

Im kind of a coffee snob. Only buy whole bean, only grind what I need at one time, and only drink it from a press. I dont really have a favorite but I really enjoy Kicking Horse and Eight O'clock.

Ace Gunner 02-23-2013 05:19 PM

taster's choice.

kidding. Italian Roast or dark roast stuff. I use a steam press at home and the office. I limit myself to two cups a day most of the time.

I put cream on top -- just like I do my women.

MagicHef 02-23-2013 05:20 PM

The free kind.

Pepe Silvia 02-23-2013 05:24 PM

I'd go nuts if I tried that. It's an odd day for me when I don't have at least three pots. Weekend days are usually four or five pot days.

threebag 02-23-2013 06:27 PM

I like coffee all kinds of coffee

reschief 02-23-2013 06:35 PM

Three best for the coffee lovers everywhere are:

1. Trung Nguyen - Vietnam (carried at many asian grocery stores).
2. Cafe Du Monde - New Orleans (available at World Market).
3. Kona - Hawaiin Islands (last state that grows coffee beans in the US, I've been on their farm tour there).

Iowanian 02-23-2013 07:03 PM

I don't like coffee at all. It would not be pleasurable in any capacity for me to drink a cup, unless I was freezing cold and it was warm.

Several guys I work with are drinking some fancy-schmancy healthy coffee. I know they grind the beans, the mix it with organic butter and organic coconut oil and something else.

I didn't like it either but they swear it's the best thing EVAR!

Cannibal 02-23-2013 07:11 PM

We grind our beans at home. The wife likes the Starbuck's Joe Scarborough blend. We have sugar free creamer at home.

At work, I power down 4-5 cups black.

the Talking Can 02-23-2013 07:22 PM

best espresso i've ever had is at PT's in topeka...truly great, i had a shot that tasted like lemons

second best, Intelligentsia in Chicago

at home i use a ceramic coffee dripper with pretty much anything from these guys, but usually this:

http://www.1000facescoffee.com/fazen...tal-fortaleza/

also keep a jar of cafe bustelo instant around for emergencies...the only instant i've found that doesn't taste like dirt anus

siberian khatru 02-23-2013 07:28 PM

I take it black, like my men.

kysirsoze 02-23-2013 07:29 PM

Peet's is probably my favorite major brand right now. Darker roasts are my preference; Italian is probably my favorite of those.

Coogs 02-23-2013 07:29 PM

My wife and I brew up a pot of coffee every morning. We use 2 scoops of Folgers Classic Roast and 1 scoop of Folgers Gourmet Carmel Drizzle. Both of us drink it black. Pretty good cup of coffee for a home coffee maker.

What a coincidence, I use Dirt Anus brand instant coffee. Small world.

HonestChieffan 02-23-2013 08:32 PM

Simply Red 07-28-2013 03:40 AM

I'm doing the Starbucks Veranda which I ground at the store - it's very flavorful. Highly recommended.

I've never liked the strong flavor of Starbucks coffee and for the price, I like it even less.

I'm happy with a large or X-large fresh coffee from 7-11 with half and half no sugar. They have some decent Brazilian

Dave Lane 07-28-2013 09:32 AM

If its not espresso it's not coffee period,

Baby Lee 07-28-2013 10:32 AM

Trader Joe's Wintry Blend

Has bits of peppercorn, clove and cinnamon.

I will second the Peet's Coffee.

I rotate between Parisi (local KC) Roasterie (local KC) and Peet's.

I like the espresso roast at Latte Land (Kaldis out of St. Louis) for what else Lattes.

I drink mine with very dark with a splash of milk until around noon and then switch to black.

JoeyChuckles 07-28-2013 12:06 PM

I too like my coffee like I like my women, extra white and extra sweet.

Fairplay 07-28-2013 12:16 PM

Dunkins has a texture taste that I can't figure out, not a fan of it.

Quick trip coffee is decent for the morning.

RedandGold 07-28-2013 01:38 PM

My dad is retired and spent some time in Costa Rica last year. He brought back some "1820" that he was drinking on the recommendation of the locals, and it is some of the best that I've had in quite a while.

In terms of coffee that's readily available, I like the Starbucks Guatemala Antigua.

For the 1,000th post, that makes you a wide awake poster...

gblowfish 07-28-2013 01:45 PM

I just bought some Eight O'Clock Colombian coffee, and it was surprisingly good.

Chest Rockwell 07-28-2013 01:59 PM

I usually buy either Honduran, Monsooned Malabar, or an espresso roast from local roasters then cold-brew it double-strength & mix it half/half with hot water.

OrtonsPiercedTaint 07-28-2013 02:07 PM

I had a Little Debbie's Cream Cheese coffee cake[.99] the other day. Didn't know they made them, pretty good.

Predarat 07-28-2013 02:21 PM

Italian and Colombian are my favorites.

Anyong Bluth 07-28-2013 03:32 PM

Little little donut shop called Dunkin' Donuts has a tasty cup of joe. Far better than that shit at Starbucks.

WilliamTheIrish 07-28-2013 03:53 PM

Highlander Grog. Great aroma.

But I gave that up and go with Dunkin's original. Black.

TrebMaxx 07-28-2013 04:12 PM

I am not into anything too fancy when it comes to coffee. I use Folgers Black Silk and drink it straight up. Not into spending high dollar for someone else to make my cup of joe for me.

BigMeatballDave 07-28-2013 04:41 PM

I'm a wuss. Half Columbian, half french vanilla.

bigjosh 07-28-2013 04:48 PM

this little market up the street sells different coffees from around the world. Recently i have become pretty hooked on the kona coffee from hawaii. has a definite different taste.

I can't drink coffee in the summer. I just can't do it. I don't know why but I can't handle heat worth a **** when I drink it. I start drinking it in October November and shut it off in March.

I'm a cheap ass so I drink folgers but I do pretty much demand RO water. Using city or well water (at least here) makes it undrinkable.

Hey I like Folgers and Maxwell House too. I'll also do Butternut or Chase. My pal Mr. Doggity likes Folgers in the old school electric percolator. Gotta admit, it smells great. Reminds me of Church Sunday School... the whole building smelled like coffee and donuts.

Baby Lee 07-28-2013 09:08 PM

If the Wintry Blend is our of season, I usually keep my eyes peeled for Peaberry, preferably Ethiopian or Costa Rican.

lcarus 07-28-2013 09:14 PM

Plain old Folgers or whatever. Just regular coffee. Cream and sugar.
