Putting down the bottle.

How many of you have done this? I'm starting to notice a pattern of me screwing shit up in my life and there always seems to be something involved.

Alcohol

I love drinking

But I'm sick of screwing up relationships and generally being a dumbass.

How many of you have done this? I feel like it's time (at least for a while) to cut the booze out of my life.

Any advice on what to do other than spend my weekend wasted drunk?

Kman34 02-16-2014 09:18 PM

Meth?

bdj23 02-16-2014 09:19 PM

I'd prefer cocaine.. But that's another topic for another day.

Rehab is for quitters

You could always post on CP more. The fine people here will show you the ways of living a clean life away from all addictions. Unless that addiction is anger, dissapointment, grief, hatred or douchbaggery.

After all, being an alcoholic might be less destructive than being a chiefs fan.

I do enjoy this place. Although the Chiefs drive me to drink.

Hang in there, dude. Royals season is just around the corner.

I'm an STL kinda guy

I've never been the type to drink heavily on a regular basis myself, but know some who have. Good luck, man.

Buehler445 02-16-2014 09:27 PM

Good luck man. I drank quite a bit in college but hardly ever now. I never had a problem, but I know it can be tough for some.

My recommendation with quitting things is take the money you would have spent on a days worth of alcohol and set it aside. It'll be easy to track the financial gain and you can buy yourself a reward for staying sober.

This is something I'm curious about. I could save $100+ every weekend by not going to the bars. I'm 29 and I've spent most of my 20s in an alcohol enduced haze.

Scotch is for pansies. Go bourbon.

Just put 100 in a jar when you don't go. Then buy yourself something cool.
