New LPGA Dress Code: Are You Slutting Kidding Me?

The LPGA has introduced a stricter dress code for its players that some are describing as "body shaming."

Starting Monday, tour pros will not be able to wear shirts with plunging necklines, leggings, or short skirts.

LPGA President Vicki issued the new guidelines in an email, which quickly drew criticism from Teen Vogue magazine.

"[W]e don't see why someone can't look professional in leggings," the magazine stated in an article on Sunday. "If anything, policing these women's bodies and clothes takes away from their professional accomplishments. And if the sport wants a positive image, body-shaming is not the way to get it."

Golfer Paige Spiranac, who has been criticized for wearing revealing clothes on the course, also weighed in.

Untucked shirts, and clothes that don't fit (too tight or loose) should be added. Because I think that looks unprofessional as well too

Racerback with a mock or regular collar are allowed (no collar = noracerback)
Plunging necklines are NOT allowed.
Leggings, unless under a skort or shorts, are NOT allowed
Length of skirt, skort, and shorts MUST be long enough to not see your bottom area (even if covered by under shorts) at any time, standing or bent over.
Appropriate attire should be worn to pro-am parties. You should be dressing yourself to present a professional image. Unless otherwise told “no,” golf clothes are acceptable.
Dressy jeans are allowed, but cut-offs or jeans with holes are NOT allowed.
Workout gear and jeans (all colors) NOT allowed inside the ropes
Joggers are NOT allowed

The new rules come just months after the LPGA said it would allow athleticwear on the course, and a day after Sung Hyun Park, 34, from South Korea won the U.S. Open Championship, edging out runner up Hye Jin Choi by two strokes.

If I watched women's golf, this would make me boycott women's golf.

I see that they are trying to assure that absolutely nobody is watching their tournaments.

I wonder if the older women on the tour were complaining about the younger women getting more attention from the 500 nationwide viewers.

No kidding. When I'm channel surfing, if the LPGA is showing hot women, I'll watch for a while. This is a foolish move if they care at all about TV ratings.

Almost all of the elite golfers are dog-faced Koreans built like nose tackles.

Most of the golf "babes" are fringe players who only get attention because they're eye candy. There are some good players who are attractive, like Lexi Thompson and Paula Creamer, but if you're watching golf on TV for the bodies, you'd be better off trawling spankbang.

I don't think this affects 95% of the players. And while I like it I can see where the green top isn't allowed. If were up to me certain players would be required to wear short skits with thong underwear. Others shouldn't be allowed to.

I guess they really don't want guys watching this.

As a kid in the 70s I subscribed to Sport magazine. I remember when this showed up in the mail at home:
