He may haved saved the game by that call!!!
Shows what the hell I know.

In other notes:

I still say we need to give Mike Cloud and Tony R. a chance through the whole game and stop playing catch up.

Did anybody happen to catch a quick glimpse of the ABC (Abolish By Chiefs)

Was that Bob Dole?

Proud to be a Chief's Fan!

Yeah really, that was HUGE by Gunther. Props to the guys upstairs for telling him to review it after watching it themselves while the measurement was going on...

Wolf,
from what I read it was Hicks that told gun that it was not a catch. I alos was throwing stuff at the TV because I couldn't believe that Gun would have waisted our last time out. just goes to show you that I DON'T know squat!

htismaqe 10-03-2000 06:28 AM

Bob Dole had an "Abolish Back by Committee" sign, but hasn't seen the tape to know whether Bob Dole made the TV...

(Bob Dole is guessing not. Based on what was shown on the scoreboard, Dole needed breast implants and a bleach job to get air time..hehe)

Even before the 'blown up' version of the replay after the overrule, I could tell the ball did bounce between his legs. Although hard to see, you could see it.

It was a 'payback' call for all the bad calls and the SD game last year that Hochuli's crew ruined for us last year.

BigMeatballDave 10-03-2000 06:57 AM

I was cursing him. I thought he had blown a T-O. It was a Good job Gunther listening to his coach's upstairs and his players on the field.

It was a huge win...

Its tuesday night, in South Korea, got to see our team for the first time this year, I for one am glad to see the red flag work in our favor...
The frst half had me worried, but we prevailed......Good job boys, and a big Hooah! out to the boys....

Warrior5 10-03-2000 07:28 AM

I was cursing him. Even after the replay I never thought they'd reverse it. I was never so happy to feel so stupid!

Welcome to the board Todd.

Just imagine what you would be saying if it were Grbac that made that pass to Faurina. The Seahawks have one of the worst starting QBs in the league. A simple five yard pass and the guy has to dive for it.

Thank you John Kitna for the victory last night!

Warrior5 10-03-2000 07:34 AM

Just imagine what we'd be saying if one or both of Grbac's TDs were picked off last night? Those were dangerous, but perfectly thrown passes. There certainly is a fine line between a brilliant TD and a game-changing TO. The good QBs make those plays, and I think we can finally rank Grbac in that upper echelon.

Is it me, or does ELVIS throw to the coverage...Gets my Heart attack going....haa!
I love this game!!!!

Yosef_Malkovitch 10-03-2000 10:50 AM

Yeah, I was. ESPECIALLY since it was our last TO. The first two challenges of the year were pretty weak and I thought this would have been another. I'm glad they saw something we couldn't in realtime.

Romel 10-03-2000 11:04 AM

The only time I cursed Gunther last night was during that first drive. I really hate stupid penalties and we had enough for a month on that first drive alone. Also, if I saw what I think I saw on the replay, Hicks definitely deserved a penalty for his behavior on that one play. After the play was over, he was engaged in a completely unnecessary confrontation with Seahawk linemen. The newspapers are saying he got flagged for taunting when he pointed at one of them: well, that was one hell of a point, because it sure looked to me like one of the lineman was slapped by Hick's abrupt gesture or at least came damn close to getting slapped. Very, very chickenshit play on his part; I'm glad he redeemed himself for it later.

Warrior5 10-03-2000 11:29 AM

DanT,

Hicks threw Kitna to the ground, and I think that pi$$ed off one of the Seahawks linemen. Whoever it was made a threatening lunge at Hicks, and Hicks slapped back at him in retaliation. I didn't notice any taunting going on prior to that. Anyway, I thought it was a BS call for that penalty. Hicks certainly shouldn't have thrown the open handed slap, but it was a case of the retaliatory player getting caught IMO. That was my interpretation anyway.

Romel 10-03-2000 11:34 AM

Cormac,

Thank God! That's what I saw, also. The announcers and all the media were saying the flag was for taunting, but I thought it was for the extracurricular activity ("jostling") going on between Hicks and the Seahawks linemen. Later on in the first half, Hicks celebrated a play without getting flagged, by the way.
