How many/which current Chiefs do you think will end up on the Arrowhead ROF?

The Grunhard thread got me thinking... how many and which current Chiefs will likely end up with their names on the Arrowhead Stadium ring of fame? There's still room left...but that thing's gonna fill up eventually.

I'd say definately...

Priest Holmes
Tony Gonzalez
Will Shields

and maybe...

Trent Green
Dante Hall
Tony Richardson
Willie Roaf
Rich Scanlon ( ROFL )

Thoughts....?

Dante Hall

Brian Waters

Dante is quite a stretch IMO.

I thought about Waters too. Just didn't know if he would be able to continue at a high level for a long time.

Yes... for now anyway. Hopefully he has a long career ahead of him and many more runbacks. I thought he's at least is off to a good start toward becoming a Chiefs "legend."

He would have to keep doing what he's doing for 5 or 6 more years, IMO.

I'd say:

Priest
Shields
Gonzo
T-Rich

On the bubble (SB would put them over the top):

Green
Waters (could probably make it solely by keeping up his ass kicking ways for 10 yrs)

IMO, there are only three "locks" at this point:

Holmes - leads team in nearly every rushing record

Shields - All-Pro/HOF player for the team for a long time

Gonzalez - see above

Regarding some of the others mentioned:

Roaf - oustanding career, but most years spent with another team

Richardson - excellent player for the team for many years, but unfortunately he plays a position that doesn't provide much recognition; might make it, but not a lock

Waters - if he continues his current level of play for as many years as Shields has, then he'll probably make it; too early to tell though

Green - has been a great addition to the team, but he's going to have to do something special to make it. I don't know if a Super Bowl win alone gets him on the ring. Maybe a Super Bowl win plus a Super Bowl MVP or something?

Hall - he's going to have to have a few more years like last year before he gets considered. Good player for us, but as a punt returner, he's going to have to do something unheardof to make it. It's just the nature of the position.

I don't really see any other current players at this point...

Priest Holmes
Tony Gonzalez
Will Shields
Trent Green

maybe......
Tony Richardson

Gonzalez and Shields.

I'd like a little more longevity for Green and Holmes to make it.

Andoverer 12-07-2004 11:04 AM

Holmes doesn't need any more longevity. His name could go up there tomorrow after all he has accomplished in just a few short years. He's a lock.

Ultra Peanut 12-07-2004 11:10 AM

Priest, Shields, Gonzo, and T-Rich are locks.

Oh, and Larry Johnson.

cdcox 12-07-2004 11:20 AM

I would bet that Green makes it before he is done, SB victory or not.

HC_Chief 12-07-2004 11:26 AM

Locks
Holmes
Shields
Gonzalez

Realistic Chance
Green
Richardson

StcChief 12-07-2004 11:26 AM

Priest
Shields
Gonzo

Green if he breaks all Dawson records and SB.

That's the one I agree with.
