Im really starting to hate how action movies are filmed now days. Too much overstylized, slow mo, quick cutting wire fu with no real grounding in physics. It takes me out of the movie when all the characters are like Superman.

Very true. I'd guess it has something to do with an axe being Abe's specialty as well. Apparently he was really tall and good at cutting down trees (?) It was pretty cool seeing him split the tree in the trailer.

Either way, I'm taking a sword. You can thrust into the heart, then remove the head with one weapon :)

Truly scared me as a kid & still does, the very look of the guy combined with his incredibly odd movements and just the grainy, old quality of the film...its creepy in a way nothing else i've seen is, otherworldly.

I don't buy that actor as Lincoln. Yes, that's the problem I have with it. I know it sounds silly. I just don't buy that guy as Abe Lincoln.

He does look better with the beard though.
