Because of this thread when i went to the grocery store today I looked for this apple.

They had about 20 different varieties, but not this one.

Ok , on the way home I went in and bought 1 Honey crisp. I gotta say it was wonderful. I think the flavor was at 99% the Ambrosia and the texture was good but did not match the Ambrosia. I could live on a Honey crisp thats for sure.

Honeycrisp. Can't say I have had and ambrosia.
Red delicious is anything but delicious.

HC makes damn good apple crisp.

I was shopping yesterday & I saw some ambrosia apples. It reminded me of this thread so, even though they were twice as expensive as any of the other apples, I thought I'd give it a shot. (You know me... I'm pretty open-minded about things)

I'm sorry to report that these apples are stupid. They are bland and not delicious at all. I can't imagine that anyone really thinks these are good and I feel like this has all been an elaborate scheme to make me waste money on shitty apples. Well done, assholes. Now I need to go buy some pink lady apples to get that crappy taste out of my mouth.

In closing, I'd like to say **** YOU, ambrosia apple people. **** you right square in the face!

Agree with the Pink Lady and Honeycrisp posts from earlier...Jazz apples are in that top tier too. There aren't any other good apples, and I don't need there to be.
