Florida

I have a business trip to Orlando in two weeks. I need ideas of good places to see in the evening. Hotspots, shopping, eating, drinking, etc. Any ideas? Last time I was there was spent theme park hopping. :shake: None of that this time.

Thanks in advance,
Jen

You could always try to wait until a potentional hurricane strikes into the state of Florida. Could be fun times. :p

I understand there are many more camping opportunities now..... :D

Ok. Now that we have the obvious hurricane comebacks out of the way...proceed to helpin' a sista' out.

No help from me. My last accomodations in Orlando were in Navy bootcamp. :spock:

Downtown Disney was pretty cool. About three or four dance clubs, live band playing, and a Planet Hollywood to dine at. Prices are a little steep, but it's fun.

Race Rock is a cool place to grab a bite to eat in Orlando. If you're into Nascar you'll absolutely love it. Of course I'm not into Nascar at all...but I still loved it. It's auto racings answer to The Hard Rock cafe. Very unique and cool.... and done much better that any Hard Rock I've ever been to.

For shopping/nightlife all in one spot try the Mercado. Very Cool. There was a great "piano" bar there when I was there. Don't remember the name but they have two bright red baby grand piano's and take requests from the audience and really put on a show.

You should check out the Sammie's chain of clubs if they are still around!

You should check out the Virgin Megastore at DownTown Disney. They often have celebs promoting newly released CDs, free performances, etc....

Also, I love the HardRock Cafe down there. Here's a link for it;
