Sure, if you dont like any live sports.

main reason why i dont ditch direct tv. I need live sports. The only sports i can watch video taped are MMA and Boxing, outside of that, i wont watch recorded baseball, basket ball or football.

Where do you live?

UPS and Fed Ex deliver everywhere.

It's a tiny little town (approx 7k pop) in Northern California. There is a college town about 45 minutes away from me. I could purchase whatever items I wanted, really. We just don't use the TV very much.

A laptop with an HDMI port and a browser with a good popup blocker solves that issue.

Yeah this is my problem.

I have to decide between spending $26 a month on just internet, or adding a cable box for the rest of the College Basketball season and split the TV cost with my roommate which would be about an extra $30 a month.

I think I'll do without and just hit the sports bars for the Aztecs games.

How much is Netflix per month? I really want it and how would I get the american version if I'm in Canada?

This will depend on how you are accessing netflix. The interface on a Samsung Blu-ray will be different from a Roku, whis is different from PS# and XBOX.

IMO PS3 is great, Roku is very good. My 3yo LG TV is OK.
