The media is now confirming that Volquez did not know his father died. His wife asked the team not to tell him, then the Royals asked FOX not to mention anything during the broadcast while he's pitching because Volquez often goes into the clubhouse between innings where the game would be on their TV.

Just wow. I hope he's okay. That's hellish. Literally tens of millions of people know about your father's passing before you do?
