Potential leaked footage from the Deadpool movie
Take it for what it's worth. Apparently it's a CGI movie with Reynolds as the voice of Deadpool.

Supposedly, this was Ryan Reynolds' test reel for the studio. The film got stuck in development hell, then Wolverine ruined the character. They're [either Ryan's people or the studio] probably complicit in this leak, in search of a reboot, with the Marvel Universe going gangbusters these days.
One could be cynical about the PR spin, but Ryan kind of nails it, and Deadpool deserves a reboot in keeping with the tone of the comic. |

Deadpool is ****ing awesome.
Ryan Reynolds is ****ing awesome. This video is ****ing awesome. |
Sadly, I think fox owns the rights. So nothing is going to happen. Even with fringe gotg getting ready to destroy theatres.

I think they have figured out how to clear the hurdle of making it PG-13 instead of R which makes a HUGE difference in the potential box office $$$ and is probably the main reason it was shelved. Optimistic we may see this made after all.

Ryan Reynolds to Return as Deadpool
Ryan Reynolds is closing a deal to star in Fox-Marvel’s “Deadpool,” their long-in-development “X-Men” spinoff. Reynolds announced the news by posting an image Thursday of the Deadpool character on his Twitter account. “It’s chimichanga time” is a reference to Deadpool’s favorite food. Mike Oncley created the rendition of the character’s head made up of spent bullet cartridges. Fox announced several months ago that it had slotted “Deadpool” for Feb. 12, 2016. Reynolds, who portrayed the character in 2009’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” has been expected to star for many years. Tim Miller is directing the superhero film from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Lauren Shuler Donner is producing. The talkative mercenary character, also known as Wade Wilson, was created by artist and writer Rob Liefeld and co-writer Fabian Nicieza. He first appeared in print in 1991. Deadpool’s primary power is the ability to heal quickly. With Reynolds reprising his role in the film, it will mark his first superhero project since “Green Lantern,” which floundered at the box office in 2011. |

Plus, it couldn't figure out whether it wanted to be a comedic superhero film or a dark superhero film. The performances were fine but the VFX over the top. Plus, that villain was one part scary and one part unbelievable. |
