Grateful Dead 50 Year anniversary at Soldier Field July 4-6. Anyone going?
 

The Grateful Dead are having their 50 year anniversary - finale at Soldier Field on July 4-6. Trey from Phish will be sitting in for Jerry. Hornsby will be replacing the 3 keyboardists who have passed.

My buddy just received an email that he scored 4 tickets through the mail order. If he sets aside a ticket for me for the 5th and 5th then I will fly out for it.

Ticketmaster sales are on Saturday. Early indications are that it will be a tough ticket.

Anyone else going?

That's a bit of an understatement. I think they were only able to fill 10% of the mail orders people submitted. A lot of my old tour buddies mail ordered. Only 2 of them have gotten their tickets so far. Everyone else has gotten pink slips.

My wife and are not going. Just not in my interest anymore despite the Dead playing a huge role in my life at one time.

Anybody else headed to stl tomorrow?
