NBC used Saturday’s primetime Olympics coverage to announce that Heroes is coming back with a new miniseries.

A press release was issued right after the commercial made the initial announcement on television.

Heroes Reborn is set to make its debut in 2015 as an “event miniseries” with original creator and executive producer Tim Kring in charge of its rebirth. The show has a 13-episode order.

A mini series will be ok, but they blew it on the series

Maybe they'll finally explain how Hiro got the sword, mastered the sword, lost his accent and became a badass like they alluded to at the very beginning of the show but NEVER tied up.

The Mini-Series title is just PR for, lets give it 13 episodes and see how the ratings are, if they are good, we order more episodes.

No. Ruined it after season 1.

Aren't most of the actors doing something else? So new characters? Which is part of the reasons the other seasons sucked.

I was excited until I saw Kring would be running it again. You know all the stuff you hated about Heroes? The dropped plot lines, characters making bad choices to futher the plot, characters using their powers in one scene, then conveniently not when it is needed. All of that is due to how Kring ran the show.

He would literally divide up scripts and have individual writers write for specific characters. The problem was when a writer would borrow a character from a different writer and have no idea the motivations and plot of the character IN THE SAME EPISODE.


Seriously, he ****ed up screenwriting 101!

They were all very whiney characters.
