Outlook.com SMTP Settings?
 

I am in the process of using an outlook.com email as my primary personal email address. I hate web mail, so I'm trying to figure out how to use Windows Live Mail 2009 as a client for this email address. It is receiving just fine, but the damn thing won't send.

I've Googled it to death but nothing I've found works...

smtp.live.com
Port 25 (or 587)
SLL

Here are the instructions from Microsoft - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...ceive-from-app , click on WLM 2009. It should setup all that stuff for you since it's hotmail/outlook.com aware. However, I would recommend going to a newer version of windows live mail client if possible.

I'll be damned. I just had to select HTTP as the server type and it's working. Thank you VERY much!
