Do you know ALL the words to popular songs?
 

I'm not talking about songs like Happy Birthday or Jingle Bells. I'm talking about rock and roll, or country, or pop, or other songs like that.

I was thinking about it today. I have a lot of songs that I like and listen to a lot, but the words apparently go in one ear and out the other. If you ask me to sing "Thunder Road" or "Fred Jones Part 2", or "Piano Man", I can't do it without humming some of the parts. And I've heard these songs a zillion times.

I'm not sure that I can sing a single song from start to finish. If you asked me, I would say yes, but if you tell me to do it, I don't think I can.

So think about it for yourself. Can you sing any/some/many songs from start to finish without the music behind you and without singing along with the singer? If so, prove it.

I know all the word to Rain Drops Keep Fallin on My Head but I get the order of the verses mixed up.

I can remember words. Thats my weird,...thing. I can remember all the lyrics to most if not all of the songs in my Library. Like a sponge.

I voted yes, but really I couldn't stand in at a concert. I can't sing worth a darn. But I know lots of songs in their entirety.

Maybe I'm Amazed

I voted yes. I wouldn't say I'd be able to blow the audience away I'm sure I'd muck up some of the words. I do however play one mean air guitar.

There's a handful that I could recite the words in their entirety, but no one would ever want to hear me sing them.

I dont even know every word to songs I love. Many verses off by heart, but very rarely an entire song.

I've given this a lot of thought. I've always been a music freak. if a song grabs me....man I'm GRABBED. I gotta learn how to play it. today. I gotta listen over and over again until I get it just right. I just dig music. now the funny thing is, I couldn't tell you what I had for lunch last Wednesday, but I kid you not, may lightening strike me dead if I'm lying.....if a song comes on the radio and it was a favorite of mine 20 years ago....I'll be able to sing EVERY SINGLE WORD!

I'm a programmer and I can't remember specifics of a project I completed 5 months ago, but I CAN remember lyrics to a favorite song I haven't heard or thought about in 20 years. the brain is a weird thing, and when it comes to music, it's even more weird!
