OC - Childress
QC/Asst Head Coach - Shurmur
OL - Bowles

Andy Reid has told the Kansas City Chiefs that he's a package deal with former Cleveland Browns general manager Tom Heckert, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported, citing a source with knowledge of Reid's pitch.

If Reid is hired and brings along Heckert as he hopes, it would almost certainly mean the end of current GM Scott Pioli's tenure with the Chiefs.

Reid and Heckert previously worked together with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Kinda funny how Vermeil's defense was supposed to be beast when we got Ty Law, and the Eagles defense was supposed to be beast when they got Asomugha. I don't care, I'd much rather have a repeat of Vermeil's Chiefs than what we've had since. It's been awful. At least with Vermeil we had shots. Plus now we have good core players on defense.

Im expecting a lot more screen passes to Charles and he will most likely use him in open space.

The entire offense should be happy, bowe should want to resign now, if this happens. Hell, the creditably at HC now is better than it's been since vermeil. Should help with free agents too. I think he'll use McCluster a lot like he's used Jason Avant. Granted, Avant is bigger, but he's by no means a big guy. He mostly roams the underneath routes and finds holes in zones to pick up easy yardage.

McCluster and/or Wylie could do a fine job in that role. Avant has a deep element to him that McCluster won't have, but McCluster can do those underneath routes.

Really, Breaston would be a perfect Avant proxy.

Joe's has fallen off a bit in recent years. Their burnt ends are merely passable ever since they started offering them multiple times per week. Worst of all, their ribs are no longer outstanding ever since they changed to St. Louis-cut spareribs instead of traditional spareribs (they made the change for consistency reasons).

I'd say L.C.'s is probably the best bbq restaurant in KC now.

Reid ignores defense?

What world do you live on?

Signed Namdi, traded for DRC, drafted Nate Allen in 2nd round, traded for Ryans, drafted Kendricks last year, Fletcher Cox in first, Brandon Graham in first, Broderick Bunkley in first, signed Babin.

This was all over the last 6 years.

The guy hasn't hired the right DC yet besides Jim Johnson.

DJ's left nut 01-03-2013 12:22 PM

Do we have Breaston for another year? His contract is a little stout for next season, isn't it (at least I thought I remembered it being pretty backloaded into that last season)? With very little leverage, I wonder if we could get him to re-structure into a reasonable extension for a year or two.

I really like Breston's potential an a Reid offense. He could be a great fit as the #3 WR.

And if Tavon Austin ends up available in the 2nd, I'm on board with taking him now as I think he could be similar to DeSean Jackson.
