I like them quit a bit. For the price (comparable to many Glocks), they feel much better in my hand than Glocks or similar guns.

I bought both of mine at separate times during Springfield's "Gear Up" promo and ended up with 5 mags for each of them, and paid somewhere in the ballpark of $350 each. For that money, they are a steal, IMO.

I found a forum thread discussing the differences.

Isn't someone here on CP a gun shop owner? Wondered if they dealt with online sales?

I am looking at getting a John Deere (Liberty) gun safe, or a Liberty Centurion.

What do you guys have/recommend?

I'd be interested in this as well.

I do not want bio-metrics or electronics of anykind.

When you buy a safe, you are buying whatever it is rated at for fire.
Thats where you really want your money to be spent. Safe aint safe, if everything melts inside when your house catches fire. Gun safe should hold guns, important papers, irreplaceable jewelry ect. silver & gold can melt. Its still worth its weight.

Rock River Arms Elite Operator2. Anyone have any experience with it (or the operator2 line in general)? I love the mid-length gas system though I wish it had quad-rails. Looks like a nice shooting gun and RRA has developed a hell of a name for itself.

Thoughts?

Nearly a year later, my zombie killer is in the mail...or on order or something like that.

Pretty damn excited.

Damnit.

The safe I'm looking at weighs 500 pounds. I have moved two of them already, and both times it sucked.

Is it new or used? Not that it matters really.
Any safe is better than no safe, when thieves break into your home why you are at work.
Which is more likely than coming home to your house being burnt to the ground.

That's sweet. Looks like it comes with a lot of the things I've upgraded.

Now get the ACOG to go on top and you're in business. :bang:

The guy I'm buying it from is also an Eotech dealer, so he can get me a slick-ass holo-sight for about 60% of list. It's going to be a tactical setup, so for the kind of playing I'll be doing with it, not to mention the racoon hunting, etc... that I'd do with it, the quick-find holographic sight seems like the way to go. I really enjoy the 2-eye firing and ability to immediately acquire a target vs. the scope style ACOGs, etc...

Then of course I'll need my zombie-killer dust cover.

Cool. I like the look of that one. It looks clean and not too overdone, but with nice rail space for attachments.

Thanks.

It's the only time I've seen an AR come with a half rail like that on the fore-grip. There aren't a lot of people that are going to put a vertical grip that far back anyway, so why have the rail go all the way back and make a 'conventional' firing position less comfortable?

I just think it's an awfully smart modification that I'm surprised I don't see more of. Using the mid-length gas-block system kinda helps make that possible though. With the CAR length, you'd lose a lot of rail space with the half-rails, so maybe that's why they're willing to do it with the mid-length gas block.

I'm getting more excited about it the more I ponder the possibilities. It really is a turnkey rifle for what I was wanting - I don't see any 'foundational' modifications I'd make to it at all, apart from adding things to it.
