I wonder, did Direckshun follow her own suggestion?

I was at a massive debate party of about 500 people. We caught it on PBS.

Fooled ya'.

So if you listen to a commentator that means you can't make up your own mind? Well all you Rachel Madcow fanboys are mindless dolts then. w/e

I personally watched on NBC so I could giggle at Todd and Gregory squirming and flashing their lame ass tweets at the end of the night. Can't stand the talking heads on Fox News...they are beyond absurd as are the ones on MSNBC. It's like they live in an alternate reality...the both of them. I have drifted back to CNN for the most part over the past 2-3 years...

Care to divulge WHERE in Springfield? Was it the one at the theater (with the unusual name that I can't remember at the moment)?

I bet that was a fun party..

Was there a lot of anger and tears shed when Obama got his ass beat down?

It was mixed company, lots of Romney supporters with a handful of Gary Johnson-ites.

I'd say it was an Obama/Romney/Johnson fan ratio of 55/40/5.

That's pretty much the idea of every argument, I thought.

I watched it at a public Democratic watch party. Mayor, city councilmen, congressmen etc. There were people publically yelling at the screen, wake up, call him on that, thats a lie call him out etc.

People were not happy. It was clear to everyone he was getting his ass handed to him.

Direckshun 10-04-2012 10:37 PM

Honestly it just reminded me of the 2004 debates where Kerry beat Bush's brains in at the first debate. Something about that first debate as an incumbent catches Presidents off guard.

Romney wasn't simply great (although he was), Obama just didn't look like himself. He looked flustered and reactive, when he's always been stoic and sticks to his guns.

Add in the complete tonal change from Romney and it was just a very odd debate.

But it made for a fantastic party.

Obama is the one who made it a beat down. No excuse to not show up with some passion.
