Albert - Schwartz - Hudson - Asamoah - Fisher

He's not even from Cal-Poly....

He's from California University of Pennsylvania

It's a big time school. Just ask this guy:

a pp roach 05-07-2013 11:40 AM

we need to get 4 more lineman with weed names.

i'm thinking Ty'von Purp, Mackenzie Dank, Jason Bong, and Cornellius Chronic

we would smoke the competition

Just making sure everyone is on the same page :)

I had to look this guy up after we drafted him. I can't complain about this pick- the thing that really popped to me was how quick he was to establish the inside position on his blocks. Good lateral agility and balance.

If you score on a 4th-7th round pick you are cooking with gas.

I think these are the gambling rounds. This guy looks like a real find.

Second off, they were likely there to see Rontez Miles (who will be drafted), and Eric Kush (though I see him as more of a zone blocking center at the NFL level).

No, the odds of a sixth round draft pick might meet those percentages, but that's in a vacuum. This guy for his position, ability, and the team needs, has significantly odds of doing both those things.

Agreed.

Oh yeah, Jared Allen says, "Hey!"

Not that its certain, but no one on here had a clue about this guy come draft day so I'd be less piss and vinegar about the pick as no one is an expert on the guy at this point unless the only point is futile bitching, and that's your own damn fault for deciding to hook your wagon to the Chief's franchise. Which at times feels like its being driven by a bunch of spooked horses heading straight over the cliff.

I'll cheer for him though.

The funny thing is, when you have a great GM and some of these late picks pans out, you end up with a really good team after a few years.

49ers got their starting Fullback by drafting a DE in the 7th round and converting him to FB. That kind of savvy by GMs really builds franchises.

You are dead right that the odds are slim, but great GMs tend to beat the odds.
