Obviously, I will get flamed.... but...
FACT:
- I am firmly on the DRAFT A QB NOW bandwagon. - I acknowledge that drafting a LB very high in the draft is foolish. POINT OF DISCUSSION: - We have two PRIMARY needs (QB, MLB), and multiple other important needs (CB#2, S#2, WR#3, and depth everywhere). I am wondering what drop off is between The first 2 QB's (Geno, Barkley) and the #3 QB (Wilson/Bray). Are we best served taking a guy like MT from ND, and going QB with our 2nd - or possibly moving back into the first if need be? Flame on, flamers. |
Will Bray be there in the second if he declares?
|
How bout we just draft a QB in round 1, and we stop all this talk about LB being a BIG need. We can get an ILB later in the draft or FA. We don't need to waste high picks. CB is a higher need than LB.

Granted, you are correct... CB is a huge need. That being said, for the purpose of this exercise, there isn't a CB that warrants that high of a pick. I would think its QB, or MT. And if Scotty boy is feeling slutty and wants a stud back up behind TH and JH, Jarvis Jones. |
What round are the ILB's from Iowa State projected to go in?
|
I think klein from iowa state is exactly what we need - in the fourth round.

Jesus
****ing Christ. Times like this we need a guy like Belcher around. Posted via Mobile Device |

Hali (1st round)
DJ (1st round) Houston (3rd, weed dropped him) MT (high 1st) Compared to QB's Cassel (broke ass) Quinn (broke ass) Stanzi (not good enough to suit up) Rookie in the 2nd round Clearly it looks like our bigger need is ILB, and we're all set at QB--especially considering how much more important QB is than ILB. |

Going in reverse order is an absolute recipe for disaster. |
pass on smith for a lb?
yeah |
Trying to discuss anything other than moving hell and earth to draft Geno isn't going to happen on the Planet. See Sanchez and Clausen history.
|
I would venture to say that no inside linebacker in the history of the nfl has ever been worthy of the first overall pick save maybe dick butkus.

And Butkus was more than just a Mike backer as Te'o is going to be at the next level. Can we please stop this Te'o bullshit. He's the exact same player as Stanford's Shane Skov and isn't close to being the prospect that someone like Urlacher or Willis or even Derrick Johnson. Hell, Luke Kuechly from last year had more draft value than Te'o does. Idiots. |
