I prefer them to Dukie V.
Steve Physioc is a K-State alum. that does Pac 10 b-ball all season long.

black angus 12-03-2010 11:21 PM

Is that 4 team fouls in 3 minutes/

mikeyis4dcats. 12-03-2010 11:29 PM

sure Jam, pass it to the pasty white kid 3 feet from you.

Saulbadguy 12-03-2010 11:34 PM

17 to 7 fouls. ;)

THANKS UCLA.

black angus 12-03-2010 11:39 PM

:grr:You know, at times Freddy can be pretty quick for a big guy.
he's improving as the season goes on imo.

I wish he could MAKE A DAMN FREE THROW though

mikeyis4dcats. 12-03-2010 11:41 PM

pullen seems to be distracted again tonight...

black angus 12-03-2010 11:45 PM

Time to bring Kelly back in- he's our only real offense tonight.

Saulbadguy 12-03-2010 11:46 PM

Jesus. We can't get in to our game, for obvious reasons.

WilliamTheIrish 12-03-2010 11:46 PM

Irving has the yips at the free throw line.

mikeyis4dcats. 12-04-2010 12:02 AM

gonna set a record for turnovers tonight

KC_Connection 12-04-2010 12:02 AM

I figured this might come down to the wire. Such an ugly game, though.

WilliamTheIrish 12-04-2010 12:05 AM

Ugh.

mikeyis4dcats. 12-04-2010 12:06 AM

Butthead with the foul

Hosed by the refs, 5 point road win over terrible Pac 10 team > Bailed out by the refs, 2 point home win over terrible Pac 10 team.

;)

black angus 12-04-2010 12:18 AM

:thumb:Well, K-State survived and covered the spread.:thumb:

WilliamTheIrish 12-04-2010 12:19 AM

I'm just really glad the WSU "kids" got to experience what it's like to play a grinder like that against KSU.

ChiTown 12-04-2010 12:25 AM

Roadies are tough - especially early season roadies. I'll take it.

Yes they are.

Mc Gruder was 5-6 from the three point line, the rest of the team was 2-16.
i'd say he was the player of the game with props to Kelly for carrying us early and
Spradling for being clutch at the end.

Without their best player Curtis Kelly, sure.

WSU is going to be a tournament team, I suspect.

Most of it is, yes. Washington, Arizona, UCLA, and WSU aren't, though. At least three of those teams make it....maybe all of them.

I'll bet you a six pack Wazzou doesn't make the NCAA. I doubt they make the NIT.

Sure, it will be something interesting to watch for. I think they'll get in the NIT for sure.

KevB 12-04-2010 12:47 AM

The turnovers are really starting to become a problem I'm not sure will get fixed....at least to the degree it needs to be in order to beat really good teams. Losing Clemente and Sutton (underrated ball handler) has hurt, and the guards haven't shown they can accept the challenge of protecting the ball. Free thrown shooting on top of it will be the downfall of this team, whenever they lose. That said, this team gets after it on D and on the glass, and that will be enough to win a lot of games.

Saulbadguy 12-04-2010 12:51 AM

We lost to Ole Miss last season. Enough said. They will improve.

Exactly why so many games in college basketball are pointless.

ChiTown 12-04-2010 12:53 AM

This team is learning to play O without Denis running the Point. It'll come in time. For now, we'll probably continue to have more games like these. Buckle in, it's gonna be a bumpy (but fun) ride.

These non-conference games lack the meaning of NCAA football regular season games, sure, but I wouldn't say there are pointless.

They are fun. You will have a tough time qualifying for the tournament if you drop too many of these type of games.

That learning better take shape soon. This team (at times) looks terrible when running half court sets. And again last night when the opportunity to push the ball upcourt presented itself, they fumbled the ball in the lane or pulled the ball out.

Amen - looked like a poorly-played HS game. KSU gonna have a rough road in the Big XII this year. Game in and game out, some of the worst offense and FT shooting out of a "top 5" team you will ever see. Kelley seems like a really neat kid though

As opposed to the Morris twins, who just exude positivity and character. Hey, also, well done at home against a truly mediocre UCLA team. Your free throw shooting also really looked solid when it counted.

Remember when Curtis Kelly and his brother, freshman year when they were both 18, shot pellet guns out of their dorm windows and hit a woman (who happened to be a girl on the swim teams mom) who was visiting her daughter?

Remember how they were drunk, and only 18? And remember how they hadn't passed English yet, and they were supposed to be studying at the time so they could pass their tests and become eligible?

Wait, that was Curtis, right? He has a twin? In Lawrence?

hawkchief 12-04-2010 02:03 PM

Pullen seems to be the only player on KSU that can scream at his coach during timeouts, louder than Kelley.

I didn't watch last nights game, just saw the highlights. But I did catch the UCLA game. UCLA is probably the best 3-3 team I've ever seen, the highlights last night showed that WSU was not a very good undefeated team.

Ugly game....again. Players that needed to step up this year, haven't. Aprilla just isn't very good, Wally didn't dress again today, and Jamar is still a child.

Yeah bro. I totally agree. There should only be 3 games in a basketball season. Then we should have a 256 game tourney for the winner. Great idea.

Loyola to within 5, 56-51 @ 4:05. 30 sec TO.

KevB 12-11-2010 05:04 PM

Frank's running out of players he's willing to put in the game. Wally, Victor, Jamar, Nick all benched it seems.

kstater 12-11-2010 05:06 PM

So this is where we use the making miracle shots excuse right?

KevB 12-11-2010 05:06 PM

Now they can't miss. Good lesson for the Cats....you coast through and leave teams in a game and eventually they'll do it. Gave up to many offensive rebounds, bad turnovers and missed opportunities on offense.

kstater 12-11-2010 05:06 PM

Throwing up junk?
