Should be a good game. Staten is a fun player to watch.

As long as the hawks don't have jet lag they should win easy

This game IS NOT on ESPNU. :thumb:

And Staten and Harris are really good ball players and our guard play isn't the greatest. If those two play well they'll have a shot at the upset.

I don't know about win easy. But yes the jayhawks should win. But if they play with a lack of focus like last Saturday then they probably won't win.

Hopefully they're handing out give-a-****s in the locker room, because unless they really want a 1 seed, I'm thinking the players didn't break any.

If KU is motivated to play this game hard, it would really surprise me. I've been expecting a loss in this one for weeks now, WVU is going to clearly want this one much more.

The implications of it are that a WVU win likely means KU plays OSU on Thursday. If KU wins, they'll likely play either WVU or Tech on that date.

I looked for a Big 12 tournament scenario, but to no avail.

Have you found anything? I think most of us here would like another shot at OSU, assuming Embiid is healthy.

If all three of WVU, BU, and OSU lose today (which would mean all the favorites won), BU will be the 6, OSU the 7, and WVU the 8.

If WVU wins and the other two lose (which would mean all the home teams won), WVU will be the #6, BU the 7, and OSU the 8.

It's also very likely there will be a 3 way tie for third between Texas, KSU, and ISU (which I believe KSU would take in a very complicated tiebreak due to going 1-1 against KU and OU).

Where are the scenarios if KU wins? Are you that sold on this team losing in Morgantown? Or is a KU win irrelevant?

If KU wins, WVU will be the 8 regardless of what anybody else does.

No, not sold on them losing. I wouldn't bet WVU straight up or anything. Just don't think they'll be all that motivated to win, which means a close game in a hostile road environment. So basically the kind of game that hasn't ended well for this team this season.

I can never root against KU. So, a win then possibly facing WVU again works for me.

Unlike others, I have no great urge to face Smart again. OSU would be a far more difficult opponent than anybody else in the 1-8 matchup. A win of any kind from OSU, BU, or KU today would ensure that doesn't happen.

I was about to say I hope Black stays out of foul trouble today... as he picks up his first foul.
