Reggie Bush is a solid performer for me in league 2 also.

He's been pretty consistent across two sandbox seasons so far.

There was a lot of OL talent in FA.

Solid 34-13 win by the Provo Knuckledraggers to move to 2-0.

Beast Mode goes for 181 yards and 2 TDs on 25 carries
Rapistberger throws for 249 and 2 TDs (but has 2 picks)
Jason McCourty has 2 picks
Akeem Ayers picks up sacks #2 and #3.

And Nick Fairley gets personal foul penalties on 2 consecutive plays. ROFL

I weep when I think about life without Harvin.

I set up my WR corps in week 1 with Bryant as the #1 WR so I could gameplan with the idea of no Harvin in the playoffs - the results were not good. Week 2 I went with the real meritocracy of Harvin at the #1....he promptly went off for 140 yds. He also had a 70 yd kick return.

With Harvin I like my chances against anyone. Losing him is going to absolutely kill me.

That said, I couldn't have drawn up today's performance much better. My rookie bookend DEs combined for 5 sacks and my young free-agent DT snagged another one. A 26% pressure rating is pretty damn impressive - well done, gentlemen. The re-tooled O-line was incredibly solid with a sub 3% pressure rate surrendered.

CJ had a couple of nice runs to ice the game and it was only a few stalled drives with goal to go that kept this from being an absolute laugher.

Today's performance was the team I expected to see. High efficiency passing game (not too far behind Brady's performance), an aggressive rush from my down lineman and a YPA below 6 due to a sturdy coverage unit.

This is an extremely good football team. It's a damn shame the wheels come off it before the playoffs...

I've got Geno Atkins, Suh, Chris Long, and Justin Houston, but I don't have any sacks.

New owners as well. I didn't start dialing up much in the way of blitz packages until week 10 last year. It took me a long time to figure out what I was working with and how to utilize my talent.

I think guys will get a little more aggressive as it goes along.

Outside of the worst game of Alex D. Smith's professional career (an unfortunate let down for the multitude of youth who look to him as the legendary idol he is) I find it interesting that Andy Lee was listed as out under rosters but still handled all the punt duties this week.

Mix in some wildcat formations and see how does.

Sandbox RGIII is terrible so far.

Alfred Morris with a STRONG game for Pittsburgh, gaining 239 yards on just 27 carries.

Does Duluth plan to pound Frank Gore's knees into dust? 62 carries in two weeks is a lot of carries.

Springfield is allowing a modest 8.03 YPC so far. CJ Spiller is happy to see you in Week 3.

He and Law Firm combined for 315 and 4 TDs on 31 carries, and Manning went 15/18 for 228 and 2 TDs in a 45-23 shellacking of the Attack.

Rain Man 07-10-2013 09:23 PM

Duluth scored 21 the hard way with 2 TDs, 1 FG, and 2 safeties.

That safety was huge. I bet you scrolled down, read that, and breathed a huge sigh of relief.

0-2. Stafford 2 more INTs for Stafford!! Julian Eddleman return 2 punts for TDs. My rushing attack is sad. Oh well, scored 21 points which is an improvement. Just gotta figure out how to limit interceptions and get Ted Ginn back for my return game.

Hammock Parties 07-10-2013 09:45 PM

I'm going to try a little experiment for Week 3. Should be interesting.

Press: You only threw three interceptions all of last year. What happened today? Why did you throw two?

ADS: Chuck Norris got kicked in the face once too. That's how I feel: like I'm Chuck Norris and I got kicked in the face that one time and it's like a reality check - but I'm still like, I'm Chuck Norris.

Press: Can you tell us about the first play from scrimmage in the game when you were picked off by Leon Hall?

ADS: Well, I saw Michael (Floyd) breaking across the middle and he was clearing the mlb who was in a shallow zone. At that moment, I saw a nun about to fall off the upper deck - so I just hurled the ball away towards Mike and started running to save her. Fortunately, I was able to to run up 38 rows and catch her. [thunderous applause] Unfortunately, Michael started following me to save the nun from imminent death and Hall intercepted the pass.

Press: Can you comment about the play of the defense?

ADS: Man. All those penalties from JJ was kind of weird. And where in the hell is Mario? I haven't seen him all season. Did you see that Von beat the tackle early in the first for that sack? Man oh man.

Press: How do you feel about Tom Brady's license plate?

ADS: Dude, I don't have time to follow high school ball. I don't even know who that is.

Press: He's the starting qb for the Denver Broncos. They're in your division. You played them in the playoffs.

ADS: Nope. Doesn't really ring a bell. I like Denver though! Every time we go there, some fan of mine named Gisele always visits me at the hotel, if you know what I mean.

Press: Alex D. Smith, with your team at one and one. What are your expectations for the season?

ADS: We plan on ending genocide, paraplegism and winning the Sandbox Championship. No further questions, Gisele is texting me.
