Things to do in Phoenix

Hello all,

I mostly lurk here, but was looking for some info on Phoenix. The wife and I are going to be there from the 18th through the 24th for the drag races. What is there to do? We are staying at the Wildhorse Pass casino and resort.

I am interested in responses to this myself. Worked there recently and want to go back for pleasure really, really bad.

I want to know what time of year it has the most comfortable weather. Summer is out—too hot. October, Spring? I know January is comfortable 'cause I was just there but that month wouldn't work.

Come on Arizonians let us know.

Literally.

Warren Sapp knows where the undercover cops posing as hookers are. Give him a call.

Dress Mexican and forget to carry your id. They love that.

I noticed you couldn't use a charge card there, at least in restaurants, without a photo ID or license.

Can someone find the Moving To Phoenix thread for the guy?

Dude, you will be south of the city so not much other than neighborhood stuff. Eat some mexican food.

If you're into history there are really cool native cliff dwellings and other structures all over the area. Most were abandoned about 500+ years ago and nobody knows why.

Drive north from Phoenix towards Sedona and there's a really cool cliff dwelling with a museum that explains the history. Drive east to the Tonto National Forest... more dwellings. Drive south toward Tucson and you'll see several impressive structures and the history. It's all really cool.

If you go to Tonto, prepare to hike up a few hundred feet, but you actually see how these people lived.

I like history and this sort of thing. Just my 2 cents.

Eat lots of pussy and kick lots of ass.

BucEyedPea 02-02-2015 02:42 PM

I don't want to do that.

I love history so thanks. I heard Sedona is a cool place to visit.
