Teeth Flossing Question

Assuming that you floss your teeth, what do you do with the little chunks of food that the floss breaks loose?

Thanks.

Frosty 04-24-2013 12:17 PM

Flick 'em at the mirror. Doesn't everyone do that?

keg in kc 04-24-2013 12:17 PM

I either eat them or flick them at the mirror.

Donger 04-24-2013 12:18 PM

Oh my God...

El Jefe 04-24-2013 12:19 PM

Spit them out, or clean the floss off.

Once you collect enough, it makes a great dip

So, do you use a really long piece of floss and use a clean section between every tooth, or do you just keep using the same bit of floss over and over?

Demonpenz 04-24-2013 12:20 PM

dried cum is delicious

Why are you asking? You want them or something?

You're supposed to floss every day, but for some reason I've never been able to get myself to do that. 3-4 times a week tops.

Sure - blow it by giving a serious answer.

hometeam 04-24-2013 12:23 PM

I use a long piece and clean section between each tooth. I tend to either leave the food on the floss or spit it in the sink~

Fish 04-24-2013 12:24 PM

That would be my real answer to the original question.

T-post Tom 04-24-2013 12:24 PM

I fashion the food chunks & used (sometimes bloody) floss into friendship bracelets and give them away as Christmas gifts. Personal and original. I'm working a deal with HSN. Might have to hire an Asian company to make them overseas in order to keep up with demand.

mikeyis4dcats. 04-24-2013 12:24 PM

I don't floss. I use a sonicare, and that seems to do a good enough job. Dentist always raves about how great my teeth look.

Deberg_1990 04-24-2013 12:24 PM

Collect them, freeze them for 10 years, analyze them, Profit

I wipe it on my legs, figure the runoff of water and soap from my upper body will clean it off when I take a shower.

I brush and floss in the shower so it goes down the drain.

I just have sh*tty gums. I floss, use those little brush things that go between your teeth, and a sonicare everyday. I go in any get my teeth cleaned every three months and my dential hygenist still tells me I need to floss more. :banghead:

blaise 04-24-2013 12:44 PM

I like the woven floss, but it seems like it's harder to find. It seems like it's all wax style floss now.

I use Glide. It's strong enough that I could use it as a garotte, too (I think).

I recently have been trying out a water flosser. I go back in for a cleaning in a few weeks, so I'll know whether it's working or not for sure at that point, but it sure SEEMS like it's doing a decent job. I get all sorts of crap out of there every time I use it.

Nzoner 04-24-2013 01:07 PM

Depends on what kind of food it is as pizza is always better later.

rageeumr 04-24-2013 01:20 PM

1. Floss
2. Brush
3. Mouthwash

Anything loosened up by #1 is taken care of by #2 and #3.

MTG#10 04-24-2013 02:57 PM

I use these, so much easier than traditional floss. I wipe the chunks off with tp.

You brush your teeth in the morning? Why?

As one of two known dentists on CP, do I have to say it?

Really? Well, this probably won't help: my parents actually share their dental floss. Yep, one finishes and hands the used floss to the other.

They are very close. Been together 50 years.

But, yeah, it's not something that I emulate.

If they had dentures, would they swap dentures too?

Okay so I have now figured out 4 dentists on CP.

You, Tooge, O.City (dental student I believe), and myself.

We seem to have dental related threads once a month I'd say. Can't resist clicking on those.
