Atlanta looking to move up

This might be a trade option for you who want to pick up a 2 to trade down. Atlanta might give that much up for the #1 overall pick.

Two years ago, the Falcons made no secret in the days before the draft that they were looking to trade up to get a wide receiver, and they would eventually send two first-round picks, a second-round pick and two fourth-round picks to Cleveland so that they could draft Julio Jones sixth overall. That worked well enough that the Falcons are now trying to move up again.

Peter King of Sports Illustrated reports that the Falcons are trying to trade up from their current first-round pick, which is No. 30 overall. King said he doesn’t know which player or players the Falcons are targeting, but they apparently like someone whom they expect to be off the board before No. 30 overall.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution recently suggested that the Falcons might try to trade up for a cornerback like Alabama’s Dee Milliner, Florida State’s Xavier Rhodes or Washington’s Desmond Trufant. They could also covet one of the draft’s top pass rushers after releasing veteran defensive end John Abraham. There’s also talk that they might like to acquire Notre Dame tight end Tyler Eifert and give him a year to learn from Tony Gonzalez (who is expected to retire after the 2013 season) before taking over for Gonzalez in 2014 as the team’s No. 1 tight end.

Why are so many other teams run so much better than KC?

Dayze 04-17-2013 10:36 AM

because they're not cursed and/or reeruned.

No way that Atlanta moves from #30 to #1. They don't have the ammo to do it and they wouldn't need to get up that far.

Bitch please. We are begging to give the pick away! Ask for their #2 and hope they will take such a large discount from us. Might need to be willing to take just a 3.

trade for TG and a pick! / True Fans.

Deberg_1990 04-17-2013 10:43 AM

meh....if they are picking 30th, wouldnt their #2 almost be a 3rd rounder?

Id want a high 2nd rounder hopefully....

Lol **** no. They'd literally have to give us all their picks and some next year.

Some next year? They might as well give us their draft this year and their entire draft in 2014 as well.

Dayze 04-17-2013 10:44 AM

trade them Baldwin for Julio straight up.

It's such a shame no one wants the #1 overall. After the ass pounding the 49'ers gave us after we begged for it in the Average Smith deal, teams should be lining up for another go at us lube free.

The 30 is basically a high 2nd rounder!

Is the 30th overall pick too high to take Geno?
