Anyone worried about Branden Albert?

Two fairly shitty games in a row. If he's gonna whiff once every half it's not gonna be a good season. Sophomore slump or just working out the kinks in preseason? I'm a little worried.

Does it matter? He could be the best offensive lineman in football history and it wont matter because of the rest of the shit out there on the line

Might be the difference between a below-average season and a really shitty one...

I think if he had better talent around him that would help his progression..I think eventually he could take a shit line like this and make them look good, but he's still young and still learning the position

It's hard to block six guys by yourself. I mean, the ****ing tackling dummies we have at LG, C, RG, RT are just so unbelievably stunning in their ability to block...

Cassel will be dead by game three.

That's the least of my concern.

My concern is that when you're protecting a QBs blind side, it could be the difference between a healthy and an unhealthy Cassel.

I'll wait till the regular season to decide. But you're right, it's concerning that he's struggling against basic defenses.

Yeah, no. Either you can pick up your man or you can't. The last two games he hasn't. I haven't even reviewed the recording...I bet he's even worse than I thought...

DBOSHO 08-22-2009 12:18 AM

imo i think we will be fine. every team looks worse in preseason.

Saccopoo 08-22-2009 12:20 AM

And thank you for all the Loadholt haters...

Not that we didn't have a need at RT or anything...

If only Pioli had stuck to his guns and not listened to them. DAMN YOU HATERS!!!!

Hammock Parties 08-22-2009 12:31 AM

Yeah I'm still kinda pissed about the Loadholt thing.

KcMizzou 08-22-2009 12:36 AM

In a word? No.

I don't see what the excuse is. Albert missed the entire preseason last year and ****ed up Dick Seymour in the opener. What is this garbage we're seeing now? It's reminiscent of I-65.

Bowser 08-22-2009 12:39 AM

Not yet, but I reserve the right to change my mind a few weeks into the season.

veist 08-22-2009 01:18 AM

Anyone else wondering if its just the fact that they have him playing what 30lbs lighter? Could be some growing pains involved with a change like that.
