I'd still say the race for Andrew Luck is still on.

First off, the Chiefs are still a ****ing bad team, thanks to injury, Matt Cassel, and piss poor coaching/play calling.

Those blowouts we had to start the season were perfect indications of it.

A close game with San Diego was predictable if you follow spot betting for professional football:

1. The Chargers just lost their Super Bowl of September against the Patriots.
2. The law of averages favors the Chiefs, two times over.
3. The emotional advantage is totally on KC’s side.
4. Todd Haley’s Chiefs compete after tough road losses.
5. Teams that aren’t total disaster cases like the Raiders tend to tense up and play up and beyond their best when they lose their franchise player(s).
6. The Chiefs aren’t as bad as everybody (including themselves) are making them out to be.

These are all factors that say: this game was going to be close, regardless of the chasm in talent between the two teams.

We've also got two shitty opponents up next in the Vikes and the Colts. The Chiefs will look composed and together. In reality, however, these two games (and the Chiefs should win at least one of them) are shitty teams against shitty teams, and shouldn't convince anybody on CP that this team is anything but a Bottom 5 squad.

You sure you wouldnt rather give up a Second for Matt Flynn, than draft a 1st rd QB?

Brock 09-26-2011 09:47 AM

Don't worry, Rivers just had a bad game.

If Kerry Collins can't play, I'm not sure how we can outsuck the Colts.

Curtis Painter is terrible. I mean damn, how did an NFL team think that having this guy on their roster was a good idea?

Our only hope is Robert Mathis. He could just torment Richardson to the point that Cassel actually starts taking the snap from the fetal position.

I wouldn't. But anybody claiming Pioli wouldn't has their head in the sand.

I think the Rams have an outside chance to get the pick.

did you not see that last drive by the colts, Matt Cassel dreams of drives like that in his sleep, but it just isnt a reality with him.

I actually think the team with the best chance of beating us to Luck are the Jaguars.

After picking up that dude from MU?

No way do you spend back to back years on a 1st round QB...

No more trading for back-up QB's with alleged potential.

Steve Pelluer, Steve Bono, Elvis Grbac, Trent Green, Matt Cassel... ENOUGH

Time to draft a franchise QB.

Gabbert showed enough in yesterdays game to keep him in Jacksonville.

The only way that the Jags draft Luck......is if Del Rio is fired and the new coach wants nothing to do with Gabbert.

Matt Flynn looked good with the Packers offense.

Sound familar?

That game is going to be so awesome to watch.

I predict 0-0 at halftime. Then with 1:00 left in the game....Cassel will be driving down the field. He'll attempt a pass to McCluster on a screen.....and their DB will pick it off and return it for a TD. LUCK FTW!!!!
