Pretty close on this one, but there was a green football game that was just like this. Passing was allowed in the green game. It was a blast.

We begged for that Dark Tower game, and we got it for Christmas. It was cool, but I remember we figured out there was a pattern where you could figure out who would win based on where they were sitting, after a few turns.

When I was a kid, we made our own toys. My favorite was a home made sling shot, honed to perfection just in case those Nazi bastards won. . .

I did have those "people" as a young kid in the 70's. I did love those.

I guess we're both old, because whenever anybody mentions a favorite toy thread, that's the first thing that comes to my mind as well.

The Sears catalog was a highly anticipated piece of mail for me as a kid. Most of me being a kid was in the 70s. I do remember Jone-sing over this. Although I never got it.

Heh, I had the cheap little proton pack and kick-out trap. Looking back, it was a cheap piece of shit plastic with stickers on it, but back then...it was state of the art ghost catching equipment. You have no idea how many ghosts I caught in my hallway.

I had a whole mess of those left over. I had a train set with a lion in it. Lion=awesome. It became my GI Joe lion. You think GI Joes are tough? What about a GI Joe with a ****ing LION. Winning!

Kids five or so & under from any age can be entertained pretty easily, but *geezer voice* in my day we were having to spice that up with various action figures well past age ten lol.

I never had them, but I do remember my younger cousin having a shitload of them.

I put Rainbow Brite in there just for him.

Still have that exact set. The engine had a place for a liquid that made smoke when running, and the Baby Ruth car had a barrel under it that rolled on the tracks with something granular inside it to make the chugga-chugga sound as it went along.

I got stuck with Lionel. Very nice Lionel on two 4x8 sheets of plywood.
Years later I sold it off to pay off a Toyota 4x4. Stupid. Wish I still had it

Somewhere in my parents' basement is a shit ton of electric train stuff. Probably 30 cars, buildings, 'grass' powder, even a rail yard with the rotating engine parker.

The Tyco set was what started it all, though.

Ya that toy was cool it had all kinds of gun noises if I remember right. It also popped into 2 pieces I think

The sound effects with the LED lights in the front were bad ass.
