Hate to start a new thread, but wanted to make sure people saw this. You guys seem to like Sam's views.

Not where I can listen, someone keep us updated?

It's a big-boy move.

Reid may or may not be a great coach, but he's the most accomplished coach available, and Clark identified him and got him.

If you just look at the things he's done - not perception - he's been a great owner. He's terrible at talking to the fans, but would rather walk the walk.

There is no perfect candidate. The first 11-12 years certainly outweigh the last 2.

For what was available, best track record.

Doesn't sound as if Sam is too awful high on the guy.

Clark will be more involved, but still not an out in public type of owner.

He'll play referee between any HC/GM issues.

I see it this way. Were we telling Sandy Eggo fans to watch out for Marty before he promptly led them to a 14-2 season?

I wouldn't listen to Philly fans. He was there for FOURTEEN years, of course they were sick of him.

Which shouldn't be a huge problem considering the HC and GM are ON THE SAME PAGE.

Clark doesn't feel he has the qualifications to be a Jerry Jones type of owner.

But will be more willing to ask the tough questions of Reid and staff, instead of letting someone run everything like he did Scott.
