i really liked Mighty Aphrodite for some reason, and ...Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Sex was hilarious.
I was bored with the others I've seen

I'm a big Woody Allen fan. I've seen 16 of his films, so yeah, I have plenty more I'm getting around to, including three (not Annie Hall) that were mentioned in this thread.. My favorite is probably Manhattan, but the funniest might be Take the Money and Run. I love his humor and his simple directing. I also like his early stand up.

Anyone who can one-up Roman Polanski is okay in my book.

Feh...

The most overrated Director [with the possible exception of Stanley Kubrick] in the history of cinema.

I've never thought of myself as a fan, per se, but I can't think of a movie of his that I've seen that I didn't like.

I have enjoyed his movies I have seen, but felt a few were pretty overrated. "Crimes and Misdemeanors" and "Match Point" were damn good though.

he's definitely had some that are better than others..

but....there was a period in the late 60's to the late 70's when all the movies he put out were hilarious....

annie hall, love and death, sleepers, manhattan, play it again sam, bananas, take the money and run....all classics

His wifaughter is apparently a fan.

I think he's a sick, semi talented @$$wipe, myself. I too, think his movies suck.

It's not his daughter. Not his adopted daughter either.

Sure. It was his wife's adopted daughter. Does that make it somehow more palatable and less unsavory?

No, it wasn't that, either, Brock.

Never really thought of Woody as a standout director, so much as a screenwriter and atmosphere creator.
He's Kevin Smith for the modern Manhattan Jew.
