So who are we gonna take in the 2nd round?
 

We already know the #1 selection goes to Geno Smith, no more worrying about that.

So, who's gonna be available in the 2nd round? I know we can't truly know, especially not before the combine. But do we have anybody in mind?

I'm really not too sure at this point but Austin would be a good pick and maybe Elam 2nd.

CB - Xavier Rhodes - Florida State would have to be near the top of my list of potential candidates.
How about S - Eric Reid - LSU?
How about WR - Justin Hunter - Tennessee

I would add Barrett Jones to that list, too.

It's a 12 week rehab at most. He'll be fine by training camp.

This. I have seen a lot of mocks saying NE may take Rhodes or Austin, both guys we may be looking at.

Is there really a best player available selection? It is subjective not objective.

ya Xavier Rhodes and Eric Reid could be good choices too.

Positions we have an immediate need for a significant upgrade:

FS (McDonald and move Berry to FS)
CB2 (not sure my preference here)
ILB ("")
TE2 (the kid from ND)
WR2 (Bailey is a life long friend of Geno and would be a smart draft pick)
WR3 (Austin)

out of that list, I'd go with Ogletree.

If Eifert is there from ND id love to grab him there. hed fit great in the west coast offense
