Not a good sign for tomorrow

The Missouri Department of Transportation has issued a "no travel advisory" for tomorrow's winter storm. Conditions will become very treacherous with the combined snow and wind.

Old Man Winter took his Viagra this year, that's for sure.

I have an honest, yet somewhat stupid question regarding tomorrow's weather and missing work.
I'm scheduled to work 3-10 tomorrow at a business that may close early due to the weather, which we did last year during a big snow storm.
Rather than battle driving through downtown and risk being sent home early, I'd rather just call in due to the weather and the fact that MoDOT has asked that nobody travel unless it is a "dire emergency".
If I were to call in, could I be reprimanded or would I have a decent defense with the "no travel advisory"?

See what the weather is doing closer to the time to go to work.

I'm taking the ****ing GRE tomorrow...

I mean I could use more time to relearn 7th grade math but I'm not going to make an application deadline if I can't take the test tomorrow.

Lol.

Hard to snow when it's sunny and 75

TrebMaxx 02-03-2014 11:02 PM

I work for the City of CoMo and they already called it "closed" for tomorrow!! Yippie! It will be funny though if the forecast doesn't come through.

HolyHat 02-03-2014 11:09 PM

It snows in Kansas. People forget that.
