FYI, seems someone got some of my Wife's personal info and created an e-mail account on live.com and so far seems to be spamming Mortgage sites as I am receiving a rash of calls about my refi inquiry. Doesn't seem to be much beyond that so far. We have taken the typical precautions of calling the Credit Bureau's and what no but wanted to pass this along to everyone should you be victim of the same issues.

More likely someone you know signed her up at LendingTree.com or some similar service. As far as I know, you don't need much real information. As soon as you hit submit the data provided is accessed by dozens of local vendors who then swarm to be the first to contact you.

That thought had crossed my mind but I have also heard of marketing scams that do this is as well. I was just passing on the info in case others get hit with the same.
