TO and Chad already
9/12/10: Not many answers to disappearing act

It really didn’t get solved with the postgame comments. Ochocinco’s was answered. He went in 30 seconds early. Coach Marvin Lewis said the reason was to get an IV which is standard during games early in the season. We have seen it a couple times during the past couple years. As for Owens, who left with one second remaining, that one is a little more murky. One assumption would be that Owens thought the half was over but Lewis said: “Terrell went in to get worked in and looked at.” When pressed on what he was getting looked at, Lewis said: “Just getting looked at, that’s our business.” Owens’ response to the question got testier as it continued to be asked. Here’s the 30 second summary: Q: Why did you go into the locker room a little bit early at the end of the first half? TO: “Coach said he would address that.” Q: Coach said you needed to come in to get something looked at? TO: “Coach said he would address that.” Q: Are you worried at all about the perceptions that neither you or Chad were on the field? TO: “Coach said he would address that. Guys I mean how many ways are you going to ask me and I don’t know how many ways I’m going to answer. He said he would address it.” |
You should just copy and paste the article instead of trying to get the HTML. That way the format of it doesn't get ****ed up.

I agree. The Bengals are overrated. They got lucky last year because they had a cake schedule. |
Moss also had some strange comments after the game. Said he didn't think a lot of people in NE wanted him to succeed. Interesting game... Moss, TO and Chad on the same field for the first time. Fitting ending for everyone.

Yes lets make a big deal out of the last play of a 14 point game...

Although, to their credit, the hail mary was actually caught just short of the goal line by Shipley. |
Ah ok I didn't read much of the article, but seeing some of it and seeing how that game went, I wouldn't be putting that loss on WR's.

Nah it wasn't their fault. Palmer was not very sharp. I think his numbers might have ended up okay but he really wasn't "on"... definitely not good enough to beat the Patriots.
But that moment got attention because the Pats missed a FG and left a second to go in the half, Bengals got the ball near midfield. Nantz and Simms noticed TO and Chad weren't on the sidelines. Had to send the B-team out for the hail mary. |
