I love this guy. Very solid DE in the middle of his prime. Good against the run and the pass.

Only problem I see is 8 year vet meaning he's probably in his 30s now. Its also depends when the Cowboys cut him. If its not too big a cap hit they may release him in March. If not, then we won't see him until June and that's too long to wait for a someone you are counting on.

Ellis is 30. He's in his prime.

You know I was more focused on Darren Howard and John Abraham, but Ellis might be a good fixture. Given that he's only due a $500K roster bonus, we might be better off trading for him. We have Dallas' 6th round pick next year and a conditional 7th for Fujita. I wonder if they would take those two picks back for Ellis?

I believe that too. My concern is that Abraham weighs 260 lbs. That will make it tough to be effective against the run. We would then have 2 undersized DEs.
