The only time I hear "right 53" is when answering (dodging) questions about who will win certain spots under competition at the end of preseason and then again when justifying why he kept an inordinate number of mediocre LBs or DBs but neglected to keep a FB when the rosters are trimmed and the practice squad is signed.
