Good recommendations for first person shoter games.....

......for the XBOX?

I just finished up Half Life 2 (again), and Doom3/Ressurection of Evil before that (again).

What are some decent titles to try out? I'm a FPS junkie, and always on the lookout for new games.

Unfortunately my computer doesn't support the newer, better games. It's about four years old, and therefore an antique.

:hmmm: I'll have to do some searchin'. Was that a Sega Genesis game?

And of course, the Halos. Still kind of miffed about having to get the 360 for Halo 3, but it's not like I wasn't going to get one eventually, anyway. :D

Another one I enjoyed was Area 51, with David Duchovany narrating. Come to think of it, I never finished that one......

I just finished Black a few months ago. There's not much to it other than shooting everything in your path, but it's pretty cool overall. Go check reviews at www.IGN.com.

You're one of the only people that I've ever seen that has agreed with my opinion that Zero Tolerance was incredible. I'm sure it's aged horribly, however. My favorite overlooked FPS of all time is Powerslave for the Playstation/Saturn.

I enjoyed it. Like you said it's pretty much just shoot at everything that moves and everything that doesn't and it's short, but the environments were cool and it was a good low brain capacity stress reliever.

Easily Ghost Recon

Depends on if you're playing online or not also.
If you're going to play online. Ghost Recon ADvanced Warfighter is the newest of the series at the moment.

Any of the old one's are classics.
Ghost Recon
Ghost Recon Island Thunder.
Ghost Recon II isn't as good. They changed the format and made the guns wimpy and hardly any sound as the previous games it sounded like you were shooting in your family room.

Just finished Halflife 2 Episode 1. Overall pretty good. It had some stuff you had to figure out to pass certain areas. They say it has about five hours of gameplay but I probably got 7 or 8 out if it since I tend to explore and mess around a little more.

Can't wait for Portals.

Did you play it on XBOX, or was it a PC game?
