I'm pretty sure 100% of it will be positive propaganda.

"I'm excited about our new players" shit like that.

The entire segment made my brain hurt and ears bleed.

Bump 04-16-2013 11:05 PM

cdcox 04-16-2013 11:08 PM

Defense has already quit on the offense before the first snap. Win!

DaneMcCloud 04-16-2013 11:25 PM

That was painful.

Why did the Chiefs allow him to do that segment?

Mother****erJones 04-16-2013 11:26 PM

Ya DJ not making that appearance count.

Hey even a good game manager is an upgrade over Cassel! We made the Playoffs the year Weis made Cassel a serviceable game manager.

Yes but were actually looking to win in the playoffs..

KCDC 04-17-2013 01:37 AM

DJ said what everyone except Andy Reid and Alex Smith knows ... Smith is nothing more than a game manager. Maybe it's an "emperor's new clothes" sort ofthing. The players are trying to tell Andy to take off his man-love glasses for Smith. This was the same pair worn by Pioli when he looked at Cassel.

Andy had the temerity to say earlier that he was taking Smith to the Hall of Fame. DJ is basically telling him that the only way Smith gets in is if he buys a ticket. ;)

Andy can love A Smith all he wants but come draft day Dorsey will be making the final decision and he will rightfully select the Choco thunder of Geno Smith and he will whoop some candy ass for years too come. Sorry Alex. Its time for Generation Geno.

I don't think we've seen any proof that Andy Reid or Dorsey are married to Alex Smith as a long-term answer, other than praising him in the media. What do you expect them to say? For all we know, this is a stopgap for a team with a clear directive from Clark Hunt to fill seats ASAP by winning games.

Dorsey had an interview several months ago. He basically implied that Alex Smith was a game manager (good with short stuff, good enough on the intermediate, not necessarily a deep ball guy). I don't think any of these guys are dense enough to not see Alex Smith's limitations, and these guys aren't so stubborn that they'll refuse to bring in competitive options.

To be fair, those two games for Alex Smith vs the Chiefs were week 4 in 2006 when the Cheifs won 41-0, and week 3 of 2010 when the Chiefs won 31-10.

That was Reid/Dorsey's way of priming the fan base not to expect too much the first year:D But as SDW said at least DJ was being very candid/truthful.

Pasta Little Brioni 04-17-2013 07:53 AM

No QB is asked to "manage games" in an Andy Reid offense. We'll find out if he sinks or swims soon enough. One thing's for sure...RRPP is dead in KC.

Dorsey doesn't have final say, especially at the QB position.

I prefer the WCBRYAC and CBALTDR

West Coast Bowe Rapes After Catch

Charles Busts Anoter Long TD Run

They'll both rape in this offense

or the

COB,FF5YH

Check Off Bowe, Fasano For 5 Yard Hook

will most likely be our offense

Maybe we'll get lucky and play the 2011 Saints defense every game.

Mind numbing.

Bewbies 04-17-2013 11:29 AM

With what DJ has been playing with a game manager is a HUGE upgrade though.

Poor DJ. I bet a lot of the guys on the team are deflated. One retread replaced by another.

Actually Dorsey does. He said evwryone will give him their opinions on things like trades, releases, signings, etc. But Dorsey has final say.

I thought both Reid and Dorsey have to answer directly to Clark. And if there is a dispute, Clark was going to be the tie-breaker.

HemiEd 04-17-2013 12:09 PM

Yeah, DJ is the guy I would pick to be the spokesman for the team.

Wildcat2005 04-17-2013 12:10 PM

Wouldnt Dorsey have been hired first if he were to be one calling all the shots?

I am sure Reid and Dorsey work together to come to a consensus, but I doubt final decisions are left up to Dorsey

True. The power order goes Hunt > Dorsey > Reid

Clark and Dorsey do have hard ons for Geno though.

Well he even said come draft day he will be the one making the decision.

Right, but according to you he has a "hard on" for Geno
But instead the Chiefs trade for Alex, and articles come out how Andy has always been high on him

So question is if/when the Chiefs pass on Geno and Alex starts the year as the qb will you still hold the opinion that Dorsey is calling the shots?
