I didn't see anything about this. I didn't know if anyone still cared about the Halo universe.

It's not an MMO. Planetside and Planetside 2 are MMO's. :)

Besides, Halo's SP has been getting better with every new installment anyway.

so what is it then? You log-in and you sit there and wait for 16 other people to join your game. Then you see that there are 5 guys named FULLBLOODKILLER or something stupid like that, then you get 1-shot every 5th step. :shrug:

It's just a multilplayer FPS game. There is nothing massive about 16 people playing together. Thousands of people on one server = massive.

Bungie isn't even making this game. It's nothing more than a cash grab to disappoint their fan base, all they have to do is sell a game with Halo on the cover and it could be hello kitty inside and people would still buy it. They would bitch a lot, but they would still buy it.

Yup. Played the first two levels last night. It looks and feels better than any previous Halo game.

I'm going to get it. Well, my kids are going to make me get it.

Bought it this morning but I won't be able to play until after work. Very positive reviews so far.

Played from midnight until 8 this morning. Has a different feel than the other games, but it doesn't take long to get used to them. I'm still not sure about the armor abilities, etc. Don't think they add much to the game.

Halo 1 and Halo 2 online were the only good ones, IMO.

for online MP, Halo 3 was my fav

I got it just because I am giving my parents my launch xbox for netflix. 320 gig model now.

i just got the 4 gig model and flashed an old laptop 320 gig hard drive. It was easy peasy. Saved quite a bit.

Played online for about 4 hours. Love it so far.

I've never done the campaign in any of the previous ones but supposedly it's amazing, so I'll try that out later.

Play the Halo 1 campaign.

This. Halo 1 campaign is by far the best. The others are fun, but not even comparable to the first.

Plus, if you don't go through the progression, I'd imagine you'd probably just :spock:

I didnt like reach at all but so far im a big fan of the multiplayer.

Haven't played MP yet, campaign is intresting to say the least. About 2/3 of the way through it. Halo 1 is still the best campaign by far.

Started playing it today. Pretty interesting Campaign anyway. Haven't done anything multiplayer.

Halo 4 campaign storyline blew me away. So good. It builds upon what bungie set up, and what they have been doing with their storylines since way back in Marathon, about 20 yrs ago. I am beyond impressed with it.

I can't find a way to run a firefight setup. That sucks. As cool as the Multiplayer battles are, I'd still like the Firefight options. My buddy and I use it as a shut your mind off and kill aliens. The multiplayer takes much more thinking and effort.

Yup.

Multiplayer campaign?

We did that. But it still takes way more effort than firefight. Firefight there are no objectives except live as long as you can. My buddy and I find it is a good way to unwind.

They have a terrible ranking system...stupid purchase on my part. Halo is dead to me, COD is the only first person shooter I'm playing anymore.

I still don't understand how they had such a wonderful game with Halo 1, 2 and 3...then a terrible game with Reach. So what do they do? They emulate Halo 4 after the one bad game in the entire franchise, and splice it with Call of Duty but to no avail, just a terrible game (if you play multi-player, no idea how good the campaign is but I don't do campaign)

I missed SWAT. Is that the sub campaigns you download?

yeah SWAT is an online multi-player map variation...

only thing worth playing now since the game has all of those stupid perks and Halo Reach add-ons and COD wannabe bullshit.

SWAT is a multiplayer game type. No shields or grenades. Only DMR, battle rifle, and the pistol. And lots and lots of headshots.

You do realize they can add doubles at anytime right? Swat wasn't there at launch.

man I tell you what that game is so disappointing. I always stuck up for Halo but it has definitely taken a HUGE back seat to COD...both 4 and Reach
