Weak defensive line, who do we have in the middle? Questionable second and third corners. Matt cassel will be under center and we have Thomas Jones 2.0 (Hillis) We should be around 6-10.

6-10. Maybe 8-8 at best. I will be shocked if we finish with a winning record.

We're going to be 1-5 at the bye week. CP will be in full meltdown mode. If we had a real QB, we'd win the division without question. Cassel is gonna prevent us from reaching the playoffs.

crazycoffey 08-29-2012 02:59 AM

Who am I kidding? I'd rather go play laser tag and hit the strip club, Lilly's doppleganger and Ester throw darts at each other in a very Primal way. Let's suit up, I need a wingman.....

Also, I'm not sure why you quoted me.

I was merely stating if they lose 10, Pioli and company should be gone.

Seems like it'll be a great season to watch other teams' franchise quarterbacks. And by great I mean depressing.

BWillie 08-29-2012 11:05 AM

It's amazing how ppl let preseason games influence their opinion. The Chiefs are a running team. They aren't going to run Charles and Hillis into the ground or show a wide array of their packages in the preseason. What you see now, is nothing like what the Chiefs will be in the season. To think the Chiefs will go 6-10 is just foolish. It's possible, but the smart money would be at least 9-7. This is not a bad team. I could easily see this team going 12-4 if it had schedules some of the league has.

I don't think it's 'buying into preseason bullshit' as much as seeing the same old Cassel on the field and seeing a bunch of franchise QBs on the schedule. It's one thing to see Tom Brady or Drew Brees dink and dunk down the field in the preseason, miss or completely ignore receivers, then say it's just the preseason playbook, they'll be ready... and it's another to see Matt Cassel do it, since he's been doing it here for 3 years in the regular season, too.

They could certainly be better than 2010, but it doesn't mean they'll win 11+ games with this year's schedule. No one is due anything in the NFL, but it would be pretty awesome if they could actually start 4-0, beat Brees, Manning twice, and be a home game vs Oakland away from being undefeated in the division.

13-3 was my prediction a couple months ago and it's still my prediction today. This is a good team and we are due. The best team we have had in years. You guys are funny for buying the preseason bullshit.

What is this "we are due" bullshit?

Take it FWIW.....but this is the guy saying that Preseason Week 1 against the Cardinals was our actual game.....we were just ****ing around the last two weeks because we didn't want to give away our schemes.

We are due for some luck because we haven't done jack in so long. We haven't been dealt a good hand in a long time. We are due for the intangibles. It's the way the Saints and the Packers defenses played when they won Superbowls. We are coming off a season of massive injury where we still almost won the divison. This is clearly the best roster we have had since 1995. This is the best coach we have had since Vermeil.

I understand most here are watching the preseason at face value. There is a huge difference from this year to last year. We aren't killing ourselves. The coaches are killing the players and they are doing it on purpose. We will be prepared for adversity. We weren't trying to stop Jackson the other night. We weren't really blitzing. We weren't trying to run. We weren't playing man.

As for Cassel, he's getting better at making plays when they count. What I saw last week was the most improvement I have seen since he's been here. I am looking for specific things and I saw them. Mainly, he made the big play when we had to have it. He's playing loose.

Reerun_KC 08-29-2012 01:51 PM

I think we will win some of them and probably lose some of them also...

Gonna be a strange year.

Teams are never what people think. The strength of schedule is never the same at the end of the year. The whole thing is based on calculated guesses and part of that is the "long over due" argument. I'm not just looking at who is good now. I am looking at who is due for bad luck (injuries) and who can overcome it for example.

That's not what I said. That would be the cliche answer.

yep thats how i see it.
same ole Cassel 3 yard passes all game, not matter what the score is, what defenses are gonna fear that?

One game that isn't as daunting as previously thought is Baltimore. They are gonna be without Suggs, I'm anxious to see where the pass rush will come from.

Not saying we beat them, just curious.

Because every team avoids injuries and is loaded with pro bowl talent at each position 3 deep and we are the Chiefs.

Could be like that 2004 game where we ran all over them.

Not so fast. Just to be safe shouldn't throw in another loss? That fantom game could end up biting us in the ass as well and yes we are the Chiefs.

Since WHEN has a Buffalo game EVER been a LOCK for the Chiefs?

It may be a lock for the rest of the NFL, but never for the chiefs.

It is this time. They whipped our ass in the home opener last year. Stevie Johnson cheap shotted Berry. Tamba is coming off of suspension and will want to have a big game. They have a rookie LT who should not be playing LT.

I can't remember a game when KC had more motivation. Plus, we are due to beat them.

Fritz88 08-29-2012 02:29 PM

2 or 3 wins.

Pasta Little Brioni 08-29-2012 02:30 PM

I always love the "if we play at our worst every game we'll never beat so and so". No ****ing shit.

I wonder what friend's computer Clay is posting from? Probably his grandmas. Anyway here are my predictions Clay:

11-5 on the year but a complete roller coaster.

i hope you're right man but i just can't see it happening in Buffalo.
they hung with the Pats in Buffalo (score for score) last year and should've won.
i just cant see our offense doing that.

No they wouldn't really be, I saw Matt Cassel last year win against the Colts, Vikings (2 of the worst teams in the league) Raiders with kyle boller, and a fluke fumble by Philip Rivers at home against San Diego. That could only happen to a coach like Norv Turner.

Believe it or not I am not Clay, an admin can actually confirm this. I honestly don't know who Clay is.
