During my brief high school stint with rap, I jumped into this which I enjoyed...
It was just pretty chill. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Laj2unxWsIg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/eshwP9f0UkM?list=PLE38F32455EAB1468" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Aww, man, its funny you made this thread now; I was just thinking about old school shit earlier. Went through my phone and listened to this masterpiece:
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/irn9FYJP2fY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> There's so much old music that's amazing. Some of my favorite classics are Nothing But a G Thang, Dre Day, Boyz n the Hood (if you've never heard the G-Mix, do it now), Deep Cover, Gin n Juice, What's My Name, Let Me Ride, Real Mother****in Gz, Gangsta Gangsta, **** the Police, Thuggish Ruggish Bone, It Was a Good Day, Check Yoself, For the Love of Money and, of course, pretty much anything by 2Pac or BIG. I don't think most would consider everything BIG rapped to be "gangster rap" per se, but you can't talk about old school shit and not mention him. Also, a little classic Outkast always goes down smooth. I was also listening to LL Cool J's Mr. Smith album the other day. That's a ****ing classic, as well. Did anyone here ever listen to The DOC? I've only ever listened to one CD- No One Can Do It Better, but it was pretty damn good. This is a good track from that album: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ZFJGXEaKHFM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Anyway, I feel like I've done a whole lot of talking. I'll just wrap it up and leave you with a couple of my favorite, low key jams from way back. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/jAkF29wyltQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/vS_QgQxlNJ0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
