Anyone know of any good low to zero carb protein powders? I've found a couple but they're typically expensive and I'm not 100% sure if the taste is going to be good.

I drink upwards of 6L of water a day. It's not quite as bad as it may seem.

Yes. Twice in fact. My numbers are in the "ideal range."

Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey

Has some carbs in it, but it's the best.

I use this http://www.truenutrition.com/p-947-w...1lb-milk.aspx?. There are 5% coupon codes all over the net plus they frequently have 10% sales. The basic chocolate and vanilla are good (I didn't care for the premium Dutch Chocolate, though). However, I just get the plain now and add some frozen blueberries and some vanilla sugar-free Da Vincis syrup.

27g of protein per scoop and no carbs or fat.

About 3 months ago, I decided to drop some weight and get in shape. Pretty simple regimen, really- portion control, cut out junk, soda, and most breads, and dramatically upped my calorie burn by walking 4-8 miles a day. Happy to say I've dropped just shy of 30 pounds, and am less than 10 pounds from my goal of 165 lbs (I'm 6'1")...

Did you get it unsweetened or did you add the Stevia to it?

Sorry that I didn't see this at first.

Plain and unsweetened, in case anyone else was curious.

Not a fan of Stevia at all.

It's amazing how expensive this stuff is getting. I started buying protein powder from True Protein about 6 years ago when I went gluten free (we use it in some of our baking) and paid in the range of $6.50 - $7/pound. Now it's almost $10. :shake:

I don't understand protein powders. Eating protein is awesome. Why drink sludge instead?

Sometimes it is quicker and easier.

6'1 165 just sounds incredibly skinny. I'm trying to get to 160, as I'm shorter than you, but it just sounds SO small. According to the charts, I think I'm supposed to weigh like 11 pounds.

When you need to get 170ish grams of protein a day, just eating food isn't going to work.

I may get to 165 and realize that for my age, 165 is too thin. The reason I set 165 as my goal is because that was my weight in high school. We'll see if it's appropriate at that time...
