So, why are they clearing cap space? To sign a FA? I can't imagine who it would be. Or, to give Albert a long term contract?

Turning base salary into a roster bonus isn't taking a pay cut. In fact, it makes him more expensive to cut.

lol, I don't think they are going to be cutting Brandon Flowers any time soon. Probably the reason they gave it to him.

On the other hand. Extending Albert probably could of saved them more money.

But, since they failed on that and cant until next offseason, this was prolly the next best thing. Doesn't bode well for Hali in the long run though
