ROFL

Yep; even as shitty as Snatchez has been, he's STILL the starter for the Jets.

SANCHEZ/DCS = BOOBY PRIZE

CASSHOLE/KING/DOOMY3 = BAG O' ****DICKS!

Pretty much. If we had Sanchez we'd be in the same situation we are now. Trying to figure out who we were gonna draft to replace him.

This might be the case no matter whom we draft this spring, be it Barkley, Smith, or someone else.

doomy3 10-23-2012 02:19 PM

Wow, you are truly a ****ing idiot.

I should have never let you back on the board when you lost the only bet that we ever made.

I never even claimed that Cassel was any good. Just that he would put up better numbers in that one season than Sanchez, because Sanchez is terrible.

They are both terrible, and you are about the only person left who can't understand this simple concept.

doomy3 10-23-2012 02:21 PM

And furthermore, just because Rex Ryan is too proud to bench Sanchez doesn't mean anything. Cassel sucks the same amount whether Romeo decided to finally bench him or if he would have kept trotting his sorry ass out there.

The fact that Romeo finally yanked him and Rex hasn't yanked Sanchez yet isn't any kind of a barometer.

Go be a Jets' fan, you worthless douchebag.

Yes, but at least a precedent would have been set, i.e., a first rounder drafted in an attempt to secure a franchise QB.

Four years later and we're still waiting for that to happen.

Check that.

29 years.

Truth. Thread over.

The victory must be hollow as bad as Sanchez has been

My take on this is a little different than most here.

I'm ALL FOR taking a QB in the first round. However, doing so doesn't come without the most major of risks. If you take a guy and he's a Jamarcus Russell or a David Carr or a Mark Sanchez, you can set your team back years and years. Then you draft another guy........and it possibly happens again. What I'm saying is, we could have been drafting first round QB's all this time, and be in the exact same boat.

On the flip side, it's ****ing hard to get my head around the fact that we haven't drafted a first round QB in 29 ****ing years.

That's like getting the clap when you lose your virginity then swearing off pussy forever. It makes no sense.

IMO, that's not really true anymore with the new rookie salary structure. Look at the Jaguars and Blaine Gabbert. They whiffed on him, but unless there's some enormous turn-around, they're going to be in a position to draft a new guy this year. Whether or not they actually do is up to them, but they're certainly capable of it.

I have to admit, I love that one...

Pretty bad when Tebow is the backup QB. He is the worst QB in the league. Or Sanchez would of been benched by now.

Now this is true. I guess I'm still thinking with the old cap structure in mind.

Taking a QB first round used to could really cripple your franchise for a long time if he did not pan out because you were handcuffed to him because of money.

I mean look at Alex Smith. He still sucks (I can't believe people think he doesn't) but he's still there playing game manager for a great defense because of the money invested in him.

You're still left with the issue of how long do you let a guy play to develop, and when do you bench him or draft a new guy. That is still an issue.

And just as an I told you so to all the people that argued with me for 2 years about Snatchez.......he ****ing blows and I told you so. He's been the reason that team never reached the SB.
